Senescence
• The stage of life when plant tissue deterioration occurs.
• Refers to the natural life cycle– Not forgetting to water or freezing
• Can lead to leaf drop (fall leaves)
• Can lead to plant death
• Frequently necessary for seeds
• Triggered by plant hormones
