European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
• If you are a UK resident, you are entitled to medical treatment that becomes necessary, at reduced cost or sometimes free.
• To obtain treatment you will need to take a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you.
• You can apply for an EHIC, free of charge, on the www.ehic.org.uk website. Alternatively, you can apply:
• by calling 0845 606 2030; or by picking up an application form from the Post Office.
• Before applying for an EHIC it is advisable to have read the information at 'Health Advice For Travellers'
• In order to apply ensure you have the NHS or National Insurance Number, Surname/Family Name, Forenames and Date of Birth of each applicant.
Passport Reminder! If you have not already provided this, a reminder that we need a photocopy of the data page at the back of your sons or daughters passport.
If you have still not applied for a passport you must do this without delay and send us a copy of the data page as soon as the passport is received.

We are taking a lot of scouts to camp, We have to take a lot of Kit to camp
We are taking all of our camping kit as well as half our boat fleet, this is why we have an artic lorry.
We will need help from our scouts and parents!

Wash Kit
• Large Towel x2• Soap + hand wash solution• Flannel• Toothbrush• Toothpaste• Comb• Shampoo• Roll on Deodorant (No Sprays)
• All items, except sleeping bag, groundsheet, and uniform to be packed in rucksack lined with a heavy duty dustbin liner. Compressed sleeping bag to be placed in heavy duty dustbin liner, tightly rolled in groundsheet, tied with a belt and secured to rucksack. Waterproof to be easily accessible.
• Kit should contain essentials only. Each participant must be able comfortably to carry his or her loaded rucksack for a reasonable distance. This will be essential when arriving and departing.
• Every item of personal property must be clearly and indelibly marked with the owner's name. It is particularly important that all uniform and activity shirts are properly marked. Much distress to the owner can be avoided in this way.
• Items specifically prohibited at Camp are: mobile phones, camp beds, all forms of knives, portable televisions, portable DVD players, music systems
Medicines
• To be given in to Dinyar on the Friday before camp. To be in sandwich bag with clear instructions of use.
• If medicine has to be carried with scout please provide spare.
