Additional tickets are available in the parish, school and religious education offices. Tickets are also being sold after each weekend mass, until the day of the festival. Due to the Parish Festival on Sunday, October 21st, 2018 the 5:00pm Mass will be celebrated at 4:00pm and the

The White Mass is a special Mass for Catholic physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, health care professionals and their families, in which Bishop Thomas extends a blessing to those faithful who care for God's people with compassion. Are you looking for a unique way to gain more exposure for your business, remember a loved one, give family name

recognition, or even acknowledge a special occasion and at the same time help a local school and neighborhood parish?

You can do so by becoming a sponsor of the St. Francis de Sales Parish School Festival, a fundraising event that offers

exposure within our community and beyond. This year’s festival will take place on Sunday, October 21st, and includes

raffles, entertainment, food booths, auctions, games, and rides.

The proceeds from our annual festival go to improvements and programs for our school and parish, ensuring

excellence in education, maintaining strict safety standards, and providing an enriching overall experience for

students and our entire parish community.

This year we will be offering four levels of sponsorship:

Gold Level: ($400-$599)

· Logo and name recognition on Gold Level display board at our Festival.

· Logo and name recognition on our Gold Level banner, displayed on one of our tent booths.

· Logo and name recognition on your very own individual banner displayed at a particular game booth, food booth,

Baptisms: NEXT ENGLISH BAPTISM CLASS October 8 @ 6:45PM Baptisms are held every Saturday at 10:00 AM in English and 11:30

AM in Spanish. A Pre-Baptism class is required by both parents and godparents. Godparents must be at least 16 yrs old, have received the sacrament of confirmation and if married, they must be married in the Roman Catholic Church. The child must be no older then 6½ years old (if older, the child must be enrolled in catechism). The English class is held the second Monday of the month at 6:45 PM in Msgr. LaVoy and the Spanish class on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 PM in the church here at St. Francis de Sales.

Marriages: Please do not set a marriage date before you consult a priest. Marriage requires six months of preparation. You must be a registered parishioner and attend a Marriage Preparation Course. You may contact the priest

of your choice, or the next available priest will assist in your preparation and officiate at your marriage. Our usual times for weddings are Saturdays at 1:30pm and 5:30 p.m.

Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office at any time if you or a member of your family seeks the Sacrament. Many people in various stages of illness can benefit by this Sacrament of Anointing. In case of hospitalization, please inform the admissions office that you are a Catholic, or let your nurse know you

would like to see a priest. The hospital will then inform the priest on duty. Hospital/Home Communion: For Holy Communion, please contact the parish office during office hours. A Eucharistic Minister will visit you and attend to your needs. In case of hospitalization, please inform the admissions office that you

are a Catholic, so that they will be able to notify the Eucharistic ministers who are responsible for that hospital.

Funerals: Please contact a funeral director, a priest will coordinate with them to meet your needs. Assistance with music available upon request.

Knights of Columbus Membership is open to all practicing Catholic men 18 years or older. Dicho evento le permite darse a conocer a la comunidad y con todos aquellos que nos visitan de otras partes de la ciudad. El Festival tendrá lugar el domingo 21 de octubre. Habrá rifas, entretenimiento en vivo, puestos de comida, subastas, juegos y distintos paseos para niños. Las ganancias de nuestro Festival Anual se utilizan para el mejoramiento de los programas escolares y parroquiales, buscando así la excelencia en la educación, manteniendo estrictas medidas de seguridad al tiempo que proveemos una experiencia enriquecedora para nuestros alumnos y cada uno de los miembros de nuestra parroquia.

Este año ofrecemos cuatro niveles de patrocinio:

· Nivel Plata: Con su aportación de $200 a $399 dólares, usted obtendrá: La publicación del nombre personal o de su negocio con su logotipo en la pancarta de Nivel Plata que será colocada en la entrada principal del festival.

· Nivel Oro: Con su aportación de $400 a $599 dólares, usted obtendrá: La publicación del nombre y logotipo de su negocio en la pancarta de Nivel de Oro que será colocada en la entrada principal del festival. La publicación del nombre y logotipo de su negocio en la pancarta de oro en uno de los puestos del festival.

· Nivel Platino: Con su aportación de $600 a $999 dólares, usted obtendrá: El reconocimiento del nombre y logotipo de su negocio en la pancarta de nivel platino de nuestro Festival. La publicación del nombre y logotipo de su negocio con su propia pancarta que lo identificará como patrocinador oficial de uno de los puestitos de juegos, comida o de paseos.

· Nivel Diamante: Con su aportación de $1000 dólares o más, usted obtendrá: La publicación del nombre y logotipo de su negocio en la pancarta nivel diamante durante nuestro Festival. La publicación del nombre y logotipo de su negocio en su propia pancarta que será colocada como patrocinador oficial en alguno de los puestitos de juegos, comida o de paseos. La publicación del nombre y logotipo de su negocio en ambos boletines informativos de nuestra escuela y la parroquia. Distribuiremos material promocional de su negocio a los asistentes del Festival (plumas, tarjetas de negocio, calendarios, etc.). Dicho material promocional usted lo proporcionará.

PROXIMA CLASE: La clase pre-bautismal en español será el 5 de Noviembre a las 6:30 en el templo

La clase se impartirá en la Iglesia. No es necesario anotarse para tomar la clase. Habrá quien los anote en la Iglesia el día de la clase.

REQUISITOS: 1.) Los niños deben ser menores de los 6 años y medio. Mayores de esta edad, los niños necesitan estar asistiendo al catecismo en preparación para el Bautismo y Primera Comunión. 2.) Les pedimos ser puntuales! Se principia esta clase con mucha puntualidad. 3.) Favor de no traer niños. La clase es para adultos y se necesita de mucha concentración para los puntos doctrinales. 4.) PADRINOS: los padrinos necesitan ser católicos practicantes; haber recibido sus sacramentos incluyendo la confirmación; si viven juntos como pareja, deben estar casados por la iglesia; ser mayores de los 16 años; tomar la clase pre-bautismal. * Los bautismos se celebran cada Sábado a las 11:30 am en español. Para apartar la fecha de bautismo necesita traer a la oficina los comprobantes de la clase pre-bautismal de los padres y los padrinos, el certificado de nacimiento del niño, la tarifa explicada en la clase y el sobre que recibió en la clase COMPLETO Y FIRMADO por los dos padres.

Nota Especial: Por Favor no hagan preparaciones de invitaciones o fiesta hasta haber apartado la fecha en la oficina.

Les informamos que para el Sacramento del Matrimonio, las parejas deben de hacer su cita con el sacerdote por lo menos 6 meses antes de la fecha de la boda. Les pedimos no hacer arreglos de recepción ni de invitaciones sin antes de dicha presentación parroquial. Desde la primera entrevista, el Sacerdote les podrá reservar la fecha de la ceremonia y le explicará el proceso requerido como las pláticas que se deben de tomar, Y los documentos que necesitan traer, etc. Las horas para Misas nupciales son en los Sábados a la 1:30pm. y a las 5:30pm.

VIATICO PARA LOS HOSPITALES Y

CASAS DE CUIDADO:

Para la sagrada comunión en hospitales, asilos y casas de cuidado, viático domiciliario, favor de llamar a nuestra oficina parroquial en horas regulares. Un ministro extraordinario de la Eucaristía le puede llevar la sagrada comunión. En los hospitales, informe a la oficina principal de que la persona católica y que desea recibir la eucaristía. Las personas indicadas se comunicarán con la parroquia responsable de cada hospital en particular.

Por favor, contacte a la funeraria y el director de exequias se comunicará con nuestra parroquia para coordinar servicios y arreglos necesarios con el

Sacerdote encargado. Música, coros y cantores disponibles bajo petición especial.

LA CELEBRACION DE LAQUINCEAÑERA: La familia deben estar registrada y activa en nuestra parroquia. La Quinceañera deben estar asistiendo al catecismo para el

Sacramento de la Confirmación y por último que la Quinceañera pueda envolverse en el ministerio de los Jóvenes ayudando en nuestras Misas en Español. Las Quinceañeras se celebran los viernes. Las Quinceañeras deben tomar una clase. Los padres de la Quinceañera deben hablar con el sacerdote. Favor de llamar al 647-3440 en horas regulares. Es un curso de liderazgo y superación personal abierto a toda persona mayor de 18 años.
