DEC is the largest manufacturer of direct fit catalytic converters in the automotive aftermarket industry, providing both import and domestic coverage. DEC is headquartered in Van Nuys, California where we have 45,000 square feet of manufacturing and R&D facilities. Primarily DEC runs two shifts, and can flex to three shifts upon volume requirements.

DEC has more than 5000 SKUs, of which our catalog actively shows approximately 4000, providing fitment for over 55,000 applications. In addition, we have approximately 2000 parts that are un-cataloged samples, waiting for a request to bring them into full production. DEC‘s strongest area of concentration has been in import applications but our domestic line has grown to become 27% of our business. We have by far more Direct Fit Applications than any of our competitors.

DEC only builds direct fit catalytic converters. Many of our competitors build “semi-direct” fit converters where cutting and welding is necessary. This misses the boat in our opinion. If the OEM part is built with a resonator, the replacement assembly must include that resonator as the OEM replacement would. (see the example to follow)

DEC is all about education and customer support. We were the first in the industry to offer TSB’s as well as
helpful technician info on our website http://catalog.deccats.com for direct catalog access.
Along with application lookup information, if there is a known problem with a particular vehicle, we have listed many quick fixes and will point you in the right direction
through factory TSBs and DEC’s own TechNotes.

• DEC’s strong points :
• Able to effectively and efficiently handle a special order program
• Private label program, if required
• Shipping policy is freight pre-paid ground for orders of 3 or more shipped to any single location, but we can ship one piece at a time as well, and we offer free overnight freight to stocking distributors.
• 24 hour delivery service.
• In the event we do not have a part you need, we can also make a new catalytic converter from any OE sample, and ship it out, usually within 48 hours. Our prototype program is second to none.
