What type of volunteering
activities can be included in the
Premiers Awards?
Schools will guide students about the
type o activities that will be recognised
or the Premiers Awards. Some activities
are considered too dangerous or
school-aged students as they require
increased training and supervision. These are reerred to as prohibited
activities. However there are lots o
volunteering activities that students can
do, rom undraising, sorting donated
goods, coaching sports, gardening
or community groups, regenerating
bushland, tutoring others or providing IT
support.
It seems an endless list but students
should consider choosing activities that
are o interest and match their level o
skills. Sometimes this can be dicult todecide where to start, so speaking with
others and the school coordinator may
help.
Where can I find out more?
There is lots o support or people
