Tier 4 Final / Stage IV, 55-129kW (74-173HP) Compact high efficiency SCR – The innovative “one can solution” and reduced mixer length assembly - still without a DPF makes for a compact installation without the need for bulky alterations to machine bodywork - maintaining our “No compromise” approach with the minimum impact on the OEM. Reduced whole life costs – The compact SCR system will use between 2-3% of exhaust additive to fuel ratio. This coupled with a further reduction in fuel consumption of up to 5% over Tier 4i engines continues to provide opportunity to boost output and deliver real competitive advantage for OEM`s and equipment operators. High torque at low engine speeds – There is no compromise to engine power or torque at Tier 4 final/Stage IV with the ecomax product range. They maintain their impressive performance curve characteristics on all ratings. Versatile – Our innovative re-calibration option as used on Tier 4i/ Stage IV continues at Tier 4 final/Stage IV by downloading a suitable fuel map and replacing the SCR system with an exhaust silencer. Meaning residual equipment values remain un-affected. The JCB engine uses the same engine footprint from Tier 2/Stage II all the way to Tier 4 final/Stage IV – this flexibility allows the OEM the most versatile production methods required in the modern manufacturing environment. Proven reliability – The Tier 4 final / Stage IV EcoMAX range utilises the same core engine architecture that has been proven in the field since 2004. Even the aftertreatment system is specifically designed for off highway use and the aggressive environments that construction equipment often finds itself in. At JCB we know a thing or two about what it takes to build great machines. Since we introduced the JCB engine into our own equipment we have seen both our market position and competitive advantage strengthen. Being this integrated as a manufacturer brings opportunities for innovation. Over the last 67 years we have learnt exactly where to focus our attention with regards to engine and machine integration. Never before has this been so important yet so often overlooked by other manufacturers. We understand engines and we understand machines. We have the network, knowledge, components, passion and enthusiasm to make them work in harmony with each other. Let us make them work for you! Tier 4 Interim / Stage IIIB, 55-129kW (74-173HP) No exhaust aftertreatment – This makes for an extremely compact installation solution for an engine of it’s class There are no compromises required from the OEM that could affect key machine features such as operator visibility, manoeuvrability or machine performance. Reduced whole life costs With a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 10%, a lack of requirement for specialist engine oils and no need for addittional servicing of aftertreatment components the JCB EcoMAX engine gives OEM’s the opportunity to offer tangible cost saving benefits to their cus tomers and end users High torque at low engine speeds – EcoMAX engines are specifically designed to provide high torque at low engine speeds not only giving end users a product that feels more powerful but also allowing the OEM to design machines that can operate at lower than traditional engine speeds whilst maintaining or improving output but reducing fuel consumption, cooling fan power requirements, noise and subsequent installation costs. Versatile Fuel system mapping – Our innovative re-calibration option will allow the ecomax engine to operate on lower grade fuels in different territories around the world at the click of button and the time it takes to download of a fuel map.
