The differences of a utopia and a dystopia

UTOPIA

Is the perfect society that is committed to having a whole area filled with perfect humans, where everyone is under control of a single leader

DYSTOPIAA dystopia is basically

the complete opposite of a Utopia, and it displays an area where all are unique in there own ways and everyone is treated with respect by a democracy

Why is it important to mention utopia and dystopia when talking

about 1984?• 1984 is famous for proving the dystopia point

of view, it showed many people the other side of the story

• In a utopian novel, one may show what it is like to live in a perfect world, but in this novel it shows the opposite

• That opposite is the worst human society imaginable, which is used to pursued the reader to avoid the path that may lead our nation towards a decaying society

Eugenics=1984?

• Eugenics and 1984 connect to each other on different levels

• Although eugenics is about creating a utopia, and 1984 is about creating a dystopia. 1984 shows how you can have a prosperous society without the utopia society eugenics tried to create.

• If it wasn’t for people like George Orwell and his advanced thinking, we may have fallen into the trap of a utopian society masterminded by eugenics.

How did George Orwell and 1984 affect the lives of people today?

• When democracy eventually built up enough steam to end the cold war in a positive way.

• There is also the fall of the Berlin Wall where East and West Germany came together. This symbolized the continuous downfall of communism, and the continuous climb of democracy.

• The novel serves as a good piece of information for all ages, not only will the reader be able to learn about totalitarianism, but also about how it affects us humans still living today.

• If the Berlin Wall was still up and the Cold War ended up with the Soviets being victorious, our world would be a whole different place, and that’s what makes George Orwell and 1984 so important
