ALL MAJOR HULL MEMBERS, wherever accessible, together with all surfaces, joints, bonds,

fillets, webs, bulkheads, and hard curve areas were carefully inspected with particular care being

devoted to areas of normal stress concentrations and possible bulkheads or other hard spots. Field

methods of sounding and visual sighting were used.

HULL CONSTRUCTION: the vessel was built with mahogany planks over hand sawn oak

stem and Philippine mahogany frames. The frames are 1 3/8” x 3 1/2” white oak. The bottom ribs

COMMENTS

The vessel was inspected in the water. From standing dock side, the hull appears to run fair with

all the planks formed together in smooth lines.

It does appear that the vessel is undergoing renovation, and there are items throughout the vessel

that have been replaced and/or repaired. However, there is still a lot more to do before the vessel

will be sea worthy.

CONCLUSION

Said vessel is suitable for manufacturer’s intended purpose.

With consideration given to the condition of the vessel, optional equipment, market condition, the

use of the BUC Book, it is hereby my professional opinion that an appraised value for said vessel

can be placed at $47,500.00.

This report is for the sole purpose of this report is to determine a fair market value and is in no

way to be used for consideration as financing or insurance purposes.

JUSTIFICATION OF APPRAISED VALUE

BUC book has six categories from “Excellent” to “Restorable.” The purpose of my inspection is

to determine the condition of vessel, equipment, and options in order to determine which category

would applied to said vessel. The one category down from BUC condition (ready for sale

requiring no additional work and normally equipped for its size) is Fair (requires usual

maintenance to prepare for sale). The next category down would be Poor (substantial yard work

required and devoid of extras. The last category is Restorable (enough of hull and engine exists to

restore the boat to useable condition.)

After my inspection, I evaluated said vessel in the Poor category. The low end is $45,000 and the

top end is $50,000. I averaged the two prices and appraised this vessel at $47,500.00.
