Footy Clinic

On Tuesday the students participated in the

Footy Clinic at Kerang. It was great to see all the

children enthusiastically participating in a

range of football drills. The Western Bulldogs

arrived a little late due to the fog in Melbourne,

but despite this there seemed to be a lot more

Bulldogs supporters by the end of the clinic.

Thank you to the organisers-Jamie McCri and

his team. Thank you to Vanessa and Katrina for

assisting with transport.

Eggs

Finally the chooks are starting to do their job and the eggs are arriving. Hopefully we will be

able to organise some egg bread/French toast this week.

The last couple of weeks have seen two birthdays. Emily on the 20th of February and Keigan

on the 1st of March.

Pupils of the Week

Kate and Jacob for excellent

leadership and positive

attitude from our grade 4

students.

This week Jukal has been

entertaining us with some

wonderful music.

On Sunday I had a reminder of the dangers lurking in our backyards. My eyelid area and arm

swelled up considerably as a result of paper wasp attack. Ironically this was the same friend’s

garden where a few weeks ago I was attacked by bull ants resulting in swelled up feet. I now

carry the anti-histamine tablets with me at all times in preparation as bad luck comes in

threes.

DROUGHT ASSISTANCE PAYMENT AVAILABLE – APPLY NOW

Every Child is eligible for the CSEF Drought Package. Please return forms to school ASAP

Student Voice

Senior Room

Our major theme for this week has been research on dolphins. The students have worked with partners

to research and present information on these extraordinary mammals.

Our autobiographies have been completed. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to share these with

families in the not too distant future.

We will soon be beginning research for our biographies on a senior citizen.

Junior Room

Our Literacy theme this term is “Fairytales”, so we have been looking at the elements that make up a

fairytale and then using this information to write our own short stories. In Maths we are concentrating on

Number and counting. Don’t forget Gr.1+2 have a spelling test each fortnight and the words should be in

the school diary so they can go over them at home. Also when you hear your child read at home please

sign the diary and if you want to, make a comment about the book or reading skills.

Book Club

If you wish to place an order, please either complete it online or return to school by 9th

March.
