Children’s Ministry THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s

Trunk R’ Treat! What made Trunk R’ Treat so awesome?

YOU did! The games, trunks, food, and fun wouldn’t have

happened without all of our volunteers. Thank you! As we

move into the New Year, the children’s ministry is looking

for 15 people to join our team on Sunday mornings at the

9:45 and 11:00am services. Would you consider joining our

team in one of these ways? If you want to care for babies,

our nursery team is for you. If you like helping kids feel

God’s love, our preschool team is for you. If you enjoy

sharing God’s truth and grace, our elementary school team is

for you. Or, if you want to serve, but don’t have a consistent

schedule, our substitute team is for you. God is moving

among our kids at Bayside Baptist Church, and he’s inviting

you to be a part of it! Email Liz at [email protected] for

more information.

Christmas Services The children’s ministry is very excited to present a special

child-focused Christmas Eve service on December 24 at

5pm. Our Bayside children will present Christmas songs and

read Scripture, followed by a homily and the traditional

candle-lit singing of Silent Night. Please join us on Christmas

Eve for this very special service.

Then on December 27 we will have 2 services:

The 8:30am service and Senior Adult Sunday School classes will meet as usual. The 9:45 and 11:00am services will be combined into one service beginning at 10am in the Café. There will be no Sunday School except for children. Parents can drop their preschoolers off in their Sunday School rooms and elementary school students can be dropped off and picked up at C-WORLD.

Catalyst Student Ministry Catalyst, Bayside’s Youth Ministry, will be celebrating our

annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 20 from 6-

8pm. It’s going to be a blast, and parents as well as youth are

welcome! Be sure to wear your tackiest sweater and bring a

yummy snack or dessert to share. We all look forward to

celebrating Christ’s birth together!

MOPS MOPS @Bayside has gotten off to a great start this

fall! Being able to send 10 moms to MomCon in

Indianapolis was a great way to start our year and

we’ve set a goal to send 15 moms to Milwaukee, WI

next Sept. Please be in prayer for God to

work in the lives and hearts of our moms this year as

we all lean into Him and learn to embrace rest,

celebrate lavishly and have eyes to see the goodness

in all the little things around us.

In October we celebrated our first responders by

delivering cookies and other baked goodies to 2

police stations and a fire house. It was very well

received and an opportunity for us to tell them about

all the exciting things happening at Bayside Baptist.

On Thanksgiving Day we had several moms get up

extra early to make and deliver a variety of breakfast

casseroles and other goodies to these same folks.

Our prayer is that by appreciating them in this way,

these men and women who serve our community will

feel the love of Christ. We’ve also been able to leave

information about MOPS, the Men’s Ministry and

our church in general at each location.

In December, we’ll do some fundraising as we will

be hosting a “Donation Only” Luncheon in the Café

on Sunday, December 6. We hope you’ll plan to

stay after church that day and join us for lunch!

We’ll be serving two different kinds of yummy

homemade soup, salad, and homemade rolls.

We’ll also be “auctioning off” desserts made

especially for you by our MOPS moms.

Finally, MOPS @Bayside would like to thank all the

AWANA directors and volunteers! We know that

without you all giving your time to play with, love

on, and teach our children during our MOPS

meetings, the moms at Bayside would not have the

opportunity to develop relationships with other

moms and grow their relationship with Christ as they

grow the next generation. Thank you! The

volunteering of your time is helping Bayside Baptist

Church cultivate and grow Kingdom Families that

will reach not only our community, but all the way

around the globe. Merry Christmas, Bayside Baptist!

KAIROS 10 Prison Ministry In October, four men from Bayside Baptist Church

participated the KAIROS 10 Prison Ministry Event at

Sussex 11 State Prison in Waverly, Virginia. Larry Price,

Gene Smelser, Jim Wirth and Mark Pullen were privileged

to share in this life-changing experience.

Forty-two prisoners spent four days together studying the

Word, singing gospel songs, sharing in worship, and

getting to know the life and power of Jesus Christ. We

literally watched the Holy Spirit touch and transform the

lives of hardened criminals in the span of four days.

KAIROS Prison Ministry is going to become a vital

component of our Men’s Ministry going forward from this

point. Please continue to pray and support this exciting

ministry in the days ahead.

Weekday Preschool

Thank you for all of the support and prayers that you have

offered to Bayside Baptist Weekday Preschool staff and

families. We are truly blessed to see our preschoolers

growing, both physically and in maturity. We have a few

events that we thought may be of interest to you. See

below for a list of events. If you have any questions,

please call 460-0333 and I will be happy to assist you.

Have a wonderful Christmas season,

Christi Stephens

Director

an opportunity to shop for Christmas during our Weekday

Preschool hours. We will have various vendors

represented at this event (i.e. food, jewelry, bags, wreaths

and so much more). Stop N’ Shop hours are: Tuesday,

December 1st and Wednesday, December 2nd from 9:00

Operation Shoebox Through the months of October and November

Bayside Baptist Church had been collecting

shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas

Child. We collected 115 shoeboxes, the youth donated

18 and MOPS put together 20, making our grand total

of shoeboxes donated 135! Great Job BBC!
