Jim Irwin, VP of Development, Jamestown, L.P. “Ponce City Market” Jim Irwin directs strategic market analysis, plan- ning, financing and project development for sustaina- ble and urban properties in the firm’s national portfo- lio. Prior to joining Green Street in 2010, he led market analysis, financial evaluation and operational execution of the development pipeline at The University Financ- ing Foundation, a nonprofit organization that assists educational and research institutions in expanding and building facilities and equipment. Irwin also managed project development and asset management for Atlanta-based Barry Real Estate Com- panies, with a primary focus on the FBI Regional Headquarters, a $55 million custom project in Minne- apolis, Minn., and Harrison Square, a mixed-use devel- opment in Fort Wayne, Indiana, anchored by an 8,000 seat minor league baseball stadium. Irwin is involved with the Center for Regional Leader- ship Development at the Urban Land Institute, the Young Alumni Real Estate Advisory Board at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and the Board of Directors for Road Safe America. He earned his B.A. from Dartmouth College, where he played foot- ball for four years. After serving on the staff of several U.S. senators and congressmen, he received a Master in Business Administration from Emory University. Under his leadership, the firm's IP practice grew to more than 200 professionals in seven offices. He served successfully as lead counsel in patent, trade- mark, copyright, trade dress, trade secret and false ad- vertising litigation, as well as disputed matters involv- ing computer software and other technology. His clients included NASCAR, Wendy's, and Arby's. Elgison was listed in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America since the inception of the list in 1991-1992 and recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer each year since 2004. He received his J.D., cum laude, in 1981, from the University of Miami School of Law, where he was a member of the University of Miami Law Review. Catherine Spillman has been the executive director since 2011, Previously, she has extensive fund raising experience for numerous civic and educational organi- zations including Morris Brandon Elementary School, Visiting Nurse Health System and Springlake Garden Club.
