    VSAT SCADASolution

    Example 3000 terminals, & 4 RCS carriers with 256kbps 3000/256 = 12 cycles required to poll the 3000 RTUs

The VSAT terminal requires ~10 seconds to respond to RTU

RTU response time is ~10 seconds

The polling response time is 20 seconds per poll

With 12 cycles of continuous polling, status of 3000

RTUs is updated within 4 minutes

In the words of Saudi AramcoVSAT technology is the cost effective solution & key factor

to Oil and Gas wideband & narrowband operations

SCADA is a very fast growing technology - Not only in Oiland Gas upstream but also video, other energy sectors, telecoms markets

Existing wideband VSAT networks can be maximized tosupport other low data applications like SCADA
