PASCALE GIRARDIN’S BIOGRAPHY Pascale Girardin is a Montreal artist who has contributed to the dynamism of contemporary ceramics through her large-scale architectural installations. Luxury, harmony and balance are the quintessential qualities which defi ne her unique artworks. The exclusive spaces that she invests are inspired by the expression of pure form and her creations subtly highlight our essential relationship with the world around us. Whether her works are suspended in mid-air, gracing a wall or fl oating in water, they always evoke nature’s ubiquitous presence and organic structure.

Originally trained as a painter, Pascale Girardin’s interest in both art and science led her to study biology (Université de Montréal), design (Certifi cate in Digital Technologies, Concordia University) and visual art (BFA in Studio Art, Concordia University). It was only natural for such a multifaceted personality to further pursue a Master of Fine Arts (Maître ès arts) at the Université du Québec à Montréal, with the goal of enhancing her ability to conduct thoughtful research and to continue nourishing her work.

Pascale Girardin’s inquisitive mind and relentless urge to explore have driven her to develop a signifi cant and constantly evolving body of work. In the past few years, she has broadened her practice with new materials such as aluminum, cast resin, polycarbonate and wood. Not least, in keeping with her belief that the art of life and the life of art are inextricably linked, she has further expanded her repertoire by designing and creating dishware for the North American high-end restaurants J&G Grill, Nobu and Toqué!

Pascale Girardin has gained international recognition for her creation of unique artworks for high-end interior design projects at such venues as Nobu Broadway Restaurant in New York, Clement Restaurant in New York, Four Seasons Private Residences in Pudong, Printemps Department Store in Paris and Al Badia Golf Club in Dubai. She has won numerous awards and distinctions for her work as a visual artist and designer, including the Pierre-Pagé Prize and repeated recognition from the Canada Arts Council.

At Pascale Girardin’s studio we carefully plan, coordinate and communicate with the design teams to off er a seamless and integrated service. We support and partake in each step of the process, making every collaboration both pleasurable and enriching.

Creative and adaptable, we off er artwork that is equally beautiful and respectful of client’s budgets, using a wide range of materials according to the scope of each project.

We provide clear and detailed quotations and progress reports allowing for a transparent and informed process ensuring a successful outcome.

SHIPPING & INSTALLATION

We have more than 18 years of experience shipping and installing artwork and off er 3 installation options:

- Clearly marked artwork is shipped along with detailed installation instructions and illustrations. Client’s team to install. - Artist is on site to supervise client’s own install crew. - Artist and her team are on site to install the artwork themselves.

BIOGRAPHIE DE PASCALE GIRARDIN Pascale Girardin est une artiste montréalaise dont les œuvres témoignent de la vitalité de la céramique contemporaine grâce à sa façon d’explorer et de défi nir des espaces avec ses installations architecturales de grande échelle. Inspirées par l’expression des formes épurées, ses créations soulignent de manière discrète notre relation fondamentale avec le monde actuel. En suspension, ornant un mur ou fl ottant dans l’eau, elles rappellent l’omniprésence et la structure organique de la nature.

D’abord formée comme artiste-peintre, Pascale Girardin a un parcours diversifi é qui refl ète sa curiosité et son intérêt pour les sciences et l’art. Après des études en biologie (Université de Montréal), en design (certifi cat en technologies numériques, Université Concordia) et en art visuel (BFA en arts plastiques, Université Concordia), elle a entrepris une maîtrise en beaux-arts à l’Université du Québec à Montréal dans le but de réaliser une recherche approfondie et de continuer à nourrir son travail.

Sa nature curieuse et son envie constante d’explorer de nouvelles avenues lui ont permis d’acquérir un important corpus artistique qui évolue sans cesse. Dans les dernières années, Pascale Girardin a étendu son art en utilisant de nouveaux matériaux tels que l’aluminium,

la résine coulée, le polycarbonate et le bois. Convaincue du lien étroit entre l’art de vivre et la vie d’une œuvre d’art, elle conçoit et produit également de la vaisselle pour des restaurants de haute gastronomie en Amérique du Nord (J&G Grill, Nobu, le Toqué!).

Pascale Girardin est reconnue à l’échelle internationale pour ses œuvres uniques faisant partie de luxueux projets de design intérieur, y compris pour le restaurant Nubu Broadway de New York, le restaurant Clement à New York, les résidences privées du Four Seasons de Pudong, le grand magasin Printemps à Paris et le Al Badia Golf Club à Dubaï. Son travail à titre d’artiste visuel et de designer lui a valu plusieurs prix et distinctions, notamment le Prix Pierre-Pagé et des bourses du Conseil des arts du Canada.

Grâce à notre créativité et à notre souplesse, nous off rons de magnifi ques œuvres d’art tout en prenant soin de respecter le budget du client. Nous utilisons un vaste éventail de matériaux en fonction de la portée de chaque projet.

Nous présentons des devis clairs et détaillés, ainsi que des rapports d’étape qui assurent un travail transparent, une communication continue et le succès du projet.

EXPÉDITION ET INSTALLATION

Notre équipe a plus de 20 ans d’expérience en expédition et en installation d’œuvres d’art. Nous off rons trois possibilités pour l’installation :

- Expédition de l’œuvre avec instructions d’installation précises accompagnées d’illustrations. Installation par l’équipe embauchée par le client. - Présence de l’artiste pour superviser l’installation prise en charge par l’équipe du client. - Présence de l’artiste et de son équipe pour prendre en charge l’installation.
