In 1993 Kovex Plastics was formed. This company’s main objective was the supply of plastic andpolythene film products.

ABCO KOVEX Ltd was formed by the amalgamation of both companies in 1996. ABCO KOVEX isnow one of Irelands leading suppliers of end of line packaging materials and machinery. OfferingJIT solutions to some of Irelands largest manufacturing companies. Steel Strapping

Oscillated Wound Steel

• Regular Duty: for use on light to medium duty applications• High Tensile: offers high strength and elongation for increased shock resistance• Both types are available with either a blue and waxed or zinc coated finish, choice of strap

finish being dependent on the degree of weather protection required• Width from 13mm to 32mm, thickness from 0.4mm to 0.9mm

Polyester Strapping (PET)

We offer two coil types:

• Polyester strapping offers a viable solution to replace steel• Allows for high tensioning• Retained strap tension• Completely recyclable• Eliminates the health and safety issues that commonly

arise from steel• Absorbs impact without breaking

Polyester strapping combines the performance and properties of both steel and polypropylene strapping. Itselongation and recovery properties help straps stay tight and absorb impacts without breaking.

Polypropylene strapping is the most commonly used and least expensive of all strapping material. For light to medium use, we recommend Polypropylenefor both manual and machine applications.

Cord Strapping

Cord strapping is available in both polyester and rayon, Thestrap is manufactured by gluing fibres together and usedonly in manual applications and is sealed using buckles,seals, or tied. It is not affected by extreme weatherconditions and therefore is frequently used in outdoorapplications. The heavy duty polyester sizes are nowfrequently replacing steel in lumber applications.

Printed Strapping

Printed strapping can be used to improveproduct presentation and to identify batches.Also eliminates the use of labels and printedcartons.
