The Brownsville Country Club saw some action lately in the form of a few charitable golf tournaments, one of course being dedicated to 13-year-old Dustin Milton, which took place September 9.

Milton is the son of EMS paramedic Chris and Jackie Milton. The tournament meant a lot to Chris and his son, who was grateful for the strong support the community has been showing his family.

“I’m just thankful that this community has just continued to show us support,” Chris said.

Dustin suffered a rare spinal stroke in May of this year. Confined to a wheelchair and depedent on around the clock care, the proceeds of the event will help with medical expenses.

Dustin and Chris kicked off the tournament with a literal “shotgun” start, both firing a rifle together to kick off the game.
