The 17th Edition Exam What

Well, this is once again to do with the UK governments required standards for electrical installations in domestic dwellings. The various parts of this legislation have different names. For example, the standards relating to the code of practice for earthing was written up in 1998 and is called BS 7430 (the BS stands for British Standard).

The regulations require that any professional (or amateur) person who is part of designing and/or installing electrical installations needs a level of competency and working knowledge of the 17th edition wiring regulations.
