The goal of the Conference series is to stimulate the development and use of models capable of qualitatively and quantitatively predicting the performance of metal cutting operations better adapted to the needs of the metal cutting industry. To achieve this goal, the following objectives of the conference were established: To bring together international specialists from the industry and academia to present recent advances and trends on modeling of metal cutting/machining operations To stimulate constructive discussion between model developers and end-users To provide an opportunity for participants to develop networking interactions To identify the current status on modeling machining operations and to provide recommendations and perspectives for future research The scientific program will cover formal sessions devoted but not limited to: Abstract due: September 28th, 2018 Notification of abstract acceptance: October 19th, 2018 Paper due: December 14th, 2018 Reviewed paper returned: February 22nd, 2019 Final paper submission: March 15th, 2019 Notification of final acceptance: April 5th, 2019 Topics Numerical and Analytical Modeling High-Performance and Hard Machining Material Behavior and Tribological Aspects in Cutting Precision, Ultra-Precision and Micro-Machining Grinding and Non-Conventional Processes Multiphysics and Multiscale Modeling Dynamics and Stability of Machining Monitoring and Diagnostics Surface Integrity of Machined Components Optimisation of Machining Processes Thermal Effects and Part Distorsion Machining of Complex Surfaces

This will be the 17th Conference of a successful conference series initiated in 1998.
