COMPANY PROFILE 171 Animation Avenue, Inc. was established in 2007 primarily for the production of “Urduja”, the first fully animated feature film in the Philippines. 171’s core group of employees are animation veterans of more than 20 years, both as animators and producers.

Aside from the movie, the studio has completed a lot of animated series for television and a direct-to-DVD, catering to North America and the Middle East.

MIMBI L. ELORIAGA-TEOTICO, President !

· Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts, at the De La Salle University in 1987.

!· Started her professional career in the international live action film industry before

joining animation in 1990. She was a Production Coordinator at Philippine Animation Studio, Inc. (pasi) when she was hired as one of their pioneer employees. When she left in 2007, she was pasi’s Studio Manager. She went on to be Executive Producer of “Urduja”, the first Filipino animated full length feature in the country.

!· She holds Executive Producer credits for the following international television

series: “Biker Mars from Mars (Marvel Entertainment)”, “Bob and Margaret (Nelvana)”, “Leapfrog Videos (Porchlight)”, “Rain: Unicef Global Animation Jam”, and “Captain Flamingo (Atomic/Breakthrough/pasi)”.

!· Mimbi is also one of the founding members of PICCA (Philippine International

Creative Content and Arts, Inc.) and serves as their Executive Director.

KEY PERSONNEL

REGGIE ENTIENZA, Creative Director !

· Took up Architecture at University of the Philippines from 1977 until 1981. !

· Started as an Animation Supervisor at Burbank Animation in 1983 and progressed as Animation Director in 1989 at Pacific Rim, Inc. He was then sent to Pacific Rim in Shenzhen to help in a pilot show. In 1991 he worked in Munich, Germany on a feature film "The Adventures of Pico and Columbus (The Magic Voyage) where he had the oppurtunity to work with Disney legend Walt Peregoy. He has worked for Fil-Cartoons, Toonworks and Studio 906 in the same capacity from 1996 to 2000. In between, he has produced minutes of animated commercials for Sugarland Corp. and DOH. He was the creative director and scriptwriter for “Urduja” in 2007, which garnered several awards from the Golden Dove Awards. In 2010, he made a script for “Duglit, Ang Dugong Makulit,” as well as the storyboard, initial character designs and backgrounds and was the voice coach for the project. He is currently training new graduates in character animation using a variety of software from Flash to Harmony, and even breaking new grounds using After Effects.

LANI C. BARCELONA, Technical Director !

· Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, major in Advertising, at the University of Santo Tomas in 1988.

!· Started as an Animation Checker at Burbank Animation in 1988, then at Island

Animation in 1989 and Philippine Animation Studio, Inc. (pasi) in 1990. She was Technical Director in 1994 until she was assigned to manage Pacific Digital, Inc., the digital ink-and-paint (DIP) facility of pasi, from 1997 until 2007. She was DIP Manager for the project “Urduja,” the first Filipino full-length animated film, in 2007. In 2010, she became Project Manager for “Duglit, Ang Dugong Makulit,” an animated version of the children’s book by Dr. Luis P. Gatmaitan. From 2011 to the present, she has been assisting in file transfers and any technical requirements needed for production.

TEZ B. MANALO, Production Manager !

· Graduated with a Bachelor in Science degree in Industrial Engineering at the Central Colleges of the Philippines in 1989.

!· Started as a Cel Painter at Toei Animation in 1987 and at Fil-Cartoons in 1989. She

became a marketing executive at Makati Financial in 1994 before becoming Production Assistant at Philippine Animation Studio Inc. of the same year. She has progressed to Production Coordinator then Production Head under the same company until 2006. She became Production Manager during the production of “Urduja” at RoadNTrip Studio until 2008. In 2010, she was the Production Manager for “Duglit, Ang Dugong Makulit.” She has continued in this capacity from 2011 to 2013 for “Johnny Test,” “Shank,” and “Transformers Rescue Bots.”

AMY FORTES, Animation Director !

· Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture at Adamson University in 1985.

!· Started as an Assistant animator at Burbank Animation in 1986. She worked at Fil-

Cartoons in 1990 and at LA Animation in 1991 in the same capacity. She became Clean-up Supervisor at Pacific Rim in 1993. In 1995, she was an Animator at Philippine Animation Studio, Inc. until 2006. She was the Animation Director for the project “Urduja” under RoadNTrip Studio in 2006. In 2010, she was the Character, Props and Location Designer for “Duglit, Ang Dugong Makulit.” She resumed directing capacity for “Johnny Test,” “Shank,” and “Transformers Rescue Bots” from 2011 to 2013.

MAN PINZA, Flash Animation Supervisor !

· Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Commerce at the Far Eastern University in 1987.

!· Started as an Inbetween Artist at Fil-Cartoons in 1989 and promoted to Clean-up

Artist then Animator. He was the Clean-up Department Head at Philippine Animation Studio Inc. in 1997 until 2006. He was the Animation Supervisor for the project “Urduja” in 2006 at RoadNTrip Studio. In 2010, he was the Builds Supervisor for “Duglit, Ang Dugong Makulit.” He shared directing duties for “Johnny Test,” “Shank,” and “Transformers Rescue Bots” from 2011 to 2013.
