Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details. REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. 7.30pm, Thu 21 Nov, Centre An evening to listen to experiences, share wisdom and reflect on the process of living with loss. Speakers include Joanna Seabourne, John Walker and others who will share their experiences. All welcome.

12.30pm, Sun 17 Nov, Centre Sam Mukabi Zema is General Secretary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Churches in Uganda. After the morning service there will be a bring and share lunch, with a chance to welcome Sam and hear more about the work St George's is partnering in.

Che and Joanna would like to express their thanks for the overwhelming support that they had on their wedding day – for all those who worked so hard to make it such a special day and for the many cards and gifts they have received.

Thanks to all who bought my cards to support the Amani Children's Home in Moshi, Tanzania. Together we made just over £100 in the 3 weeks I was selling them in the Foyer. There are plenty left for those who missed the chance!

7.30pm , Mon 18 Nov, Centre This event is to support Christians in adoption and fostering. The church can make a difference to vulnerable children's lives. If you are interested or involved in fostering and adoption and would like to know how the church can provide support, pick up a leaflet at the back of church or contact Ruth Thomas.

Israel/Palestine

We will hear from the 'Bethlehem 5' who have just returned from two mission

placements in Palestine. We also hope to meet Israel's new representative in Leeds. If you

7.30pm, Mon 25 Nov, 5 Cookridge Ave, LS16 7NA Come along to a planning/info meeting about Le Tour de Yorkshire. This charity fun ride will take place two weeks before the Tour de France to raise money for three Leeds based Christian charities: Leeds Faith in Schools, Kidz Klub and Friends International. The ride will be a two day event and follow the same route as Le Grand Depart. If you would like to hear more about the ride or to offer some support in the planning of the event, please email Graeme.

3-6pm, Sat 14 Dec, St Richard’s Church, Seacroft CREATE is a city-wide workshop for ages 11-15. Young people lead their peers to gain new skills to use in their churches, supported by accompanying adults. The theme is Christmas Arts and Crafts. Book with Judith Shalkowski or at Roots/Explorers.

Our Christmas preparations are well underway, and we want to give everyone who comes to

visit St George’s the warmest welcome possible. To do that, we need a team of people who can be a blessing for one or more of our events in December. Serving food and drinks, greeting

people and stewarding are just some of the many roles that need to be filled - there’s something for everyone!
