It seems like yesterday when they arrived from elemen- tary school, but now the grade 8 students are ready for the challenges and ad- ventures of high school. They have been an amazing group and I wish them all the best in the future. I would like to acknowledge and thank the PAC for the tremendous support again this year. We are fortunate to have such a great group of parents who have done so much to support stu- dents, staff, and pro- grams. Special thanks to parents who are moving on to high school with their children! We also have several staff members who are scheduled to leave GHMS this year. We thank them for their ser- vice to the students and wish them good luck. I hope you have a won- derful summer break. I look forward to working with many of you again next school year! The academic achievement recipients are nominated and recognized by their advisory teachers. To be recognized for athletics, fine arts, or citizenship at our June 25th assembly, students are required to review the criteria and gather the appropriate sponsor signatures by June 19. The criteria/signature sheets are located in the student agendas and are also available in the office. Music Concert What a wonderful turnout for our last music concert of the year! The students played beautifully. Thanks so much to Mrs. Blair and Mrs. Meadows for all their hard work with our students throughout the year. Textbooks, Library Books, Uniforms

Now that we have com-pleted our inter-school ath-letics for the year we need to collect all uniforms. Please check to see if your children still have uniforms at home and have them returned to the office. Thank you.
It is the time of year that we are asking for students and parents to check around the house for materials that might be at home and need to be returned to the school. Students will be having a textbook check completed and will be informed if there is anything missing. A notice will be sent home informing stu-dents of the replacement costs for any missing items. So, please have a good look for textbooks and library books!
If your child is leaving Gor-don Head School this year and you paid the $20 text-book deposit and have no outstanding books to return, please send a note to the office requesting a refund. Please include the following information in the note: child’s name/division, name and signature of the person receiving the cheque, and return address.

GRADE 8 CELEBRATION BBQ LUNCH AND DANCE
Date: June 19th 12 -3 p.m.
Location: Bert Richman Building at GH Rec Centre (Red Barn)
The PAC is planning a casual Barbeque luncheon for the Grade 8 students with Ice-Cream Sundae Bar dessert and DJ for our graduating Grade 8 classes. Parents welcome!
We hope you can join us on that afternoon and congratulate our kids!

initiatives but we are well short of our target of $2000. PLEASE consider loading it up for the summer.. 5% of every dollar you ‘load’ on your card before end of day June 20 goes to our school… Fairway Market cards help us all summer as well so keep on loading it up!
