E-mail me a Prayer
I had been teaching my three-year-old daughter the Lord’s
Prayer. For several evenings at bedtime, she would repeat after
me the lines from the prayer. Finally, she decided to go solo. I
listened with pride as she carefully enunciated each word, right
up to the end of the prayer: “Lead us not into temptation,” she
prayed, “but deliver us some e-mail. Amen.’
How Many Women?
A little boy was attending his first wedding. After the service
his cousin asked him, “How many women can a man marry?”
“Sixteen” the boy responded. His cousin was amazed at the
little boys answer. “How do you know that? he asked. “Easy,”
the little boy said—”all you have to do is add it up, like the
Pastor said, 4 better, 4 worse, 4 richer, 4 poorer.”
