1.Power frame
The power frame is fabricated steel, well reinforced to assure maximum strength & rigidity. The gear case forms the oil reservoir and is provided with dip stick & oil drains. The provision of covers, doors & long cradle section permit easy access for easy maintenance. Heavy steel caps bolted to main bearing supports with large heat treated alloy steel studs form a rigid support for main bearing housing.
2.Pinion shaft
Pinion shaft with integral pinion is heat treated & ground. Shaft extends on both sides of pump so that drive can be connected on either or both sides. Shaft rotates on double row tapered roller bearings.
3.Crank shaft
It is high quality rib reinforced casting with internal flange to bolt on gear. It is drilled and grooved for hydraulic removal of main bearing.
4.Gearing
Gear & pinion are wide faced single helical type. Gear is ductile iron and pinion is alloy steel. Both are heat treated.
5.Bearings
All tapered roller bearings are shim adjusted. Main bearing is double row tapered bearing, pinion shaft bearing is double
row tapered bearing or spherical bearing. Cross head pins have double row needle roller bearings.
6.Connecting rods
Connecting rods are “T” sections with solid ends made of ductile iron castings.
7.Cross heads
Cross heads have bronze cross head shoes. The replaceable shim adjusted guides are made up of cast iron & are interchangeable. The tapered fit for extension rod facilitates assembly & removal of this part for duplex pump.
8.Fluid chamber
The fluid chamber is separate forged steel, is fully & individually interchangeable. Solid type cylinder heads & threaded valve covers are used.
9. Fluid liners co-hard
A uniform lining of corrosion and abrasion resisting metal, to mirror finish greatly increase liner and piston life.
10.Metal to metal liner retention
This method holds liner securely in place when operating in high pressures.
11.Fluid piston rods
Rods are induction hardened high strength alloy steel. Pistons are heavy duty slurry type.
12.Valves
Valves and seats are made up of heat treated forged alloy steel. Valves have replaceable polyurethane valve inserts. Valve wear is minimised by use of flexible guide bushings in valve covers & valve seats.
13.Lubrication
The oil pump which is externally mounted supplies oil through filter to all bearings and cross head guides. Other oil pump for piston rod flushing system. Main gear runs in oil bath.
Pump base is made up of heavy structural steel, supports all elements.
