5.1.5 Identical slots (48 nos.)at equal intervals are provided on the ring beam allowing

lateral movement of the dome frame along the slot to adjust the dome to required

profile during erection.5.1.6 The Dome roof is a spherical structure with rounded bottom, reinforcement pates

are to be bolted on the ring beam (rounded bottom) and ensured to be in position as

per drawings.

5.1.7 Dome frame members shall be identified and marked clearly before installation, to

prevent frame members(primary and secondary) and other accessories misused.

Twoinstallation personnel with movable Aluminum Alloy Scaffoldingshall be

engaged in the erection of Dome frame member.

5.1.8 After installating upto 5 layers, the reinforcement plates shall be welded and the the

slots on the ring beam can be plug welded, start full welding of the support plates

B(96 nos ) and the ring beam to the shell.

5.1.12 The spherical shape of the dome is achieved by inter-connecting different members

in their respective nodes.Each members are connected to the node plates by bolts.

5.2.2 Prefabricate 10 curve ladders (3000650mm) to avoid welder to slip from the dome

structure during assembly and welding.

5.2.3 According to the drawings(5638-E1-1500-MEQ-DWG-506),lifting by crane and

laying the first dome roof plate in the center.2 mobile scaffoldings will be set under

two sides of plates .The erector will stand in the scaffolding to assist laying the

center dome roof plate and then tack weld the plate. the positioning plate

stand in the curve ladder which top side is fixed to the pipe by belt and the down

side is fixed with handrail.

5.3 Roof Cover plate Welding

5.3.1 First, al l the welding in the dome roof plates shal l be carried out by

intermittent weld from dom e center to bound ary . The top surface of dome

cover sh al l be welded equal ly as per drawings b y 12 welders. Bottom surface

of dome cov er shal l be welded simultaneously in al l the four quarters of the

5.3.6 Temporary angle- steel supports shall be welded to the dome centre cover plates

to secure the welders during welding.the temporary attachments shall be removed

after all the welding has been performed and subjected to NDE as per DGSrequirements.

5.3.7 Bo ttom surface of dome cover shal l be welded in intermittent way as per

Drawings 5638-E1-1500-MEQ-DWG-506. Non-welded area shall be sealed

with B elzona materials as per manufacture recomm endations. In absence of

Belzona seal ing. Proceeding seal ing w elding.

6 QA/ QC

7.9 During roof plate laying. All the workers working at height be adoned FBH duly

anchored chest straps with the carabiner of a rope grabber at very next to climbing

on the roof and check and confirm the robustness of the tie up points, rope grabbergrip and tightness of nuts of carabiners as formost activity. A rope grabber be

provided for each worker at roof. In no circumstance a rope grabber shall be used

for more than one worker.

7.10 During roof plate welding. All the workers working at height be adoned FBH duly

anchored chest straps with the carabiner of a Retractable Life Line at very next to

climbing on the roof and check and confirm the robustness of the tie up points,

retractable life line grip and tightness of nuts of carabiners as formost activity. A

rectractable life line be provided for each worker at roof. In no circumstance a rope

grabber shall be used for more than one worker.

7.11 All the welders shall cover the welding spot with fire blanket for minimum 10

3 minutes) incase of suspension of worker from height. A mobile scaffolding shall

be made available as a spare for rescue during emergency; and a knife with

scabbard and 18mm rope with a carbiner shall be kept on the rescue mobilescaffolding. A mobile scaffolding shall be moved to hold suspended victim

immediately. All the personnel working inside the tank will be trained on the rescue

methods.

7.16 3rdparty trained rescue team shall be made available at site and they will be act as

per the orders of ERTL (Emergency Response Team Leader) according to the

emergency situation.

7.17 Suspended persons shall not be laid down for 40 minutes and water shall not be

given to the victim immediately, depends upon the situations.

7.18 Heat Stress. Heat stress measures like water arrangement, job rotations, Flag

notifications shall be complied as per project procedures.
