FROM THE PASTOR . . .
My dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Do you know that early returns for the first week of raffle
ticket sales produced almost 10% of our goal for this year’s
Fundraiser! While the raffle tickets are only part of the
fundraising effort taking place NOW in our parish, it is a
vital part of the success story yet to be told. Please keep
moving those tickets. When you have bought or sold them
please place the tickets and cash (check) in an envelope
marked “Raffle” and either place them in the collection
basket or drop them off at the Parish Office. Of course, if
you would like more tickets, we do have some available.
Together we are going to be able to do great things for our
parish.
Elsewhere in the bulletin you will find a sneak preview of a
few more things we have planned for The Main Event on
April 29 in addition to the drawing of the $5,000 prize from
the raffle. Please keep that date open for a very different
and fun-filled evening being designed ESPECIALLY FOR
YOU!!
Also, please plan on attending our Corpus Christi Academy
Open House this Sunday, January 29th from 11:00 a.m.
until 2:00 p.m. Come and see all the things that are
happening. While there, be sure to stop in the gym and
visit with fellow parishioners to see the many things that
are going on here at the parish.
It promises to be a great day.
May God’s blessings be yours this week.
Father Ireland
NEWS FROM THE ACADEMY . . .
Parishioners, families, and friends:
As we begin the third quarter of the school year, we are
reminded that “With God, All Things Are Possible”.
Corpus Christi Academy has been a success so far this
year, and we look forward to an even stronger second half
of the year! Students are engaged in the learning process,
teachers are inspiring learners, and the school community is
a true “Body of Christ”.
We are very happy to announce that the Academy received
two Rooted in Faith Grants to improve both the facilities
and technology. We are equally pleased to report that the
net profit of our first Corpus Christi Academy Fund Raiser:
Mission Possible Dinner and Auction was $27,617.62. An
additional $6,599.00 was raised from cash donations to the
Fund the Need Project (communications improvements).
A sincere thank you to sponsors, donors, participants and
volunteers for all of the time and financial support you
gave. A very special thank Auction co-chairs, Renee
Boerner and Gay Eyerman for their organizational and
leadership efforts.
If you are not able to attend the Open House this weekend,
please visit the school website to request a tour or call the
school office to set up a tour of the Academy. Registration
for the 2017-2018 school year has begun and is encouraged
through February 17, 2017.
God Bless,
