their co"ntr!&s embass!% serving as re"ge against "nair treatment# :nder Indonesian

citizenship% these things are g"aranteed in (rticles 27;2) o the 1,+5 Constit"tion% which

states that all citizens have the right to wor6% have stable living% reedom to associate%

reedom o e<pression% as well as rights to lie% amil!% basic needs% ed"cation% 6nowledge%

Citizenship can be a disadvantage "nder mandator! laws# (n e<ample is militar!

re."irement% or obligations to sel;deense# In Indonesia% or e<ample% citizens are re."ired to

ewaian>?# @ome co"ntries also have higher ta< rates than others% ma6ing citizenship in

those co"ntries more economicall! challenging# -hro"gh internationall! shared racism% some

citizenship is treated with more weariness than others% beca"se o the trends and pre"dices

against that speciic race# 8hen adopting a citizenship% individ"als ma! also loose the health

care the!&re given b! their original co"ntries in oreign land% ma6ing living e<penses slightl!
