1.3 Port description

1.4 Hardware installation steps Step1: Push the button in the side to remove upper housing.

Step2: Pass through Ethernet cable from the hole; insert the cable to Secondary port.

Note: RJ-45 8P8C Ethernet cable is required.

Step3: Install the upper housing and make sure the housing is well installed.

Step4:

Install POE Injector

DC: Insert adapter

POE: This hole is linked to Secondary port of the Outdoor Router with RJ-45.

LAN: This hole is linked to LAN side PC/Hub or Router/ADSL modem device with RJ-45

Note: The above image is just for your reference, Colour of POE may vary as per product packaging..

2. Connecting the Router

2.1 System Requirements

Broadband Internet Access Service (DSL/Cable/Ethernet)

1 DSL/Cable Modem that has an RJ45 connector (which is not necessary if the Router is

connected directly to the Ethernet.)

Computer with a working Ethernet Adapter and an Ethernet cable with RJ45 connector

TCP/IP protocol on each pc

Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox

2.2 TCP/IP Configuration The default IP address of the iB-OR246150N 150M Wireless-N Outdoor AP Router is 192.168.1.200

and the default Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0. These values can be changed as per the requirement.

In this guide, we use all the default values for description.

Connect the local PC to the LAN ports of the Router. The IP address for your PC can be configured in

the following two ways.

Configure the IP address manually

1) Set up the TCP/IP protocol for your PC.

2) Configure the network parameters. The IP address is 192.168.1.xxx (“xxx” is any number

from 1 to 254), Subnet Mask is 255.255.255.0 and Gateway is 192.168.1.200 (The

Router’s default IP address).

Obtain an IP address automatically

1) Set up the TCP/IP Protocol in “Obtain an IP address automatically” mode on your PC.

2) Then the built-in DHCP server will assign IP address for the PC.

Now, you can run the Ping command in the command prompt to verify the network connection

between your PC and Router.

2.3 Connect to 150M Wireless-N Outdoor AP Router

Open a WEB browser, i.e. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.1 SP1 or above, then enter IP address as

192.168.1.200 on the URL to connect the iBall Baton iB-OR246150N Broadband Router.

3. Setup Wizard ① After you login web page, Click WISP Wizard→click“Scan”→Select”SSID”→

Enter encryption password→Select specified WAN type” PPPOE / DHCP / Static”→click Next Step

Note:

DHCP: If the device connects to DHCP Server of uplink or WISP, please select this mode.

The device will obtain IP address from uplink DHCP server or WISP automatically. PPPoE: If WISP offer PPPOE access type, please select this mode. You should fill in both the

User Name and Password that your ISP supplies

Static:If WISP offer Static IP access, please select this mode and enter IP address/Subnet

Mask/Gateway and DNS server IP address

② LAN Settings:

You could change Gateway IP adress here or keep defaults,then click Next

③ DHCP Server Settings:

You can enable or disable DHCP server here,then click Next

④ Wireless Settings:

To configure wireless settings of the device, you could enable or disable wireless, select security

mode / set encrypt key etc,after that click Apply to save previous settings.

Note: The device will restart after changing these settings, if you just keep defaults value please click

next for further process

4. Operation Mode guideline

4.1) AP Router:

Click “Operation Mode”→“AP Router” go to basic configuration page, as below image:

Note:

AP Router mode is SOHO router function, Router connect to wired ISP to access internet

DHCP: When the Device connects to a DHCP server, or ISP support DHCP service, please

choose this type. The Device will get the IP address automatically from the DHCP server or the

WISP. Once the connection started successfully, you can access internet.

PPPoE: If your wireless ISPs supports PPPoE, you should choose this type. In this condition,

you should fill both the User Name and Password that your ISP provides.

Static IP:In this type, you should manually fill in the IP address, Subnet Mask, Default

Gateway, and DNS IP address, which are specified by your ISP. The Sixth Step:

Connection status

After you finished related configuration, and you wish to check if settings is succeed or not, please go

to “Status” page for more details.

4.2 WISP: Please refer to “Setup Wizard” for details

4.3 Access Point

Check “Operation Mode”→“Access Point(AP)”, you’ll see in below image.

In this page you may set wireless access point as per your requirement, after that click “Apply” to save

settings and restart device.

Select one you wish to enable its SSID, click ”Enable”. Once you enable BSSID, you

could select one Channel and configure specified wireless parameter based the BSSID,

also you could enable multiple SSID option.

Once enable SSID CPE will broadcast its name. Select SSID blank you can change its

name here.

Broadcast SSID: Enable the option, SSID will be visible you can see the BSSID

name by PC or laptop’s wireless scan tools, once you disable it user couldn’t find the

SSID by scanning tools, the SSID has been hided, but if you still wish to connect with

the SSID, just enter the SSID manually.

Security Mode: In this option you can configure encryption mode, key etc…security

mode currently support Open WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK.

Security Type: Suggest security type to be TKIP mode which is better encryption type.

4.4 AP Client:

In this mode, the device associate with nearby AP and checks the network device combination as

required. The access point then forms a wireless bridge between the wired LAN and clients through

the device. CPE broadcasting its SSID, client devices obtain IP address from uplink hotspot or WISP.

Connects to wireless AP or WLAN base station

Check “Operation Mode”→select ”AP Client”→click ”Scan”→select specified SSID you wish to connect with,

then fill-in password →Click “Apply” to save settings

Channel without setting, since Channel of the CPE will automatically consistent with the front end WLAN base

station in AP and AP Client mode.

CPE will disable its DHCP server in AP Client mode, for management you can assign different IP address for each CPE

Note: If there is no targeted SSID in checking list, you’d better have some more “Scan” process. but if still nothing in checking

list, double check if the frequency of WLAN’s working channel beyond your CPE’s scope. e.g CPE only support 13 channel, but

WLAN base station just working on channel 14.

5. Wireless Menu

Click “Wireless” to go Wireless setting menu, as shown in below image.

Mode: To select proper mode of wireless, like 802.11b/g/n etc.

Channel: To setup right wireless channel number for the device.

SSID: Identification of device’s wireless network.

Security Mode: Security type of main SSID, in drop-down list to choose right mode you

need or disable it. Different types of security mode is : WEP, WAP-PSK & WPA2-PSK

6. Network Settings

Click “Network Settings” to configure Internet as provided, as shown in below image.

WAN Connection Type: Allows different way to access Internet.

Static IP: Use a Fixed IP Address to access ISP, in this mode user need to enter fixed IP

vvvvvvvvvvaddress, gateway etc manually.

DHCP: In this mode, device will obtained dynamic IP address and other network parameters

from ISP.

PPPoE: In this mode, the device access ISP by PPPoE dial-up, PPPoE is used usually

ADSL broadband access..

IP/Subnet mask/Gateway/Domain Server: Visible in static WAN connection type, manually

assign IP Address, Gateway information etc..

7. System Tools

Click “System Tools” to go to system management menu, as shown in below image.

Password Settings: To set system administrator and password here.

Time Settings: To set time zone and time information here.

Backup & Restore: You can backup your existing configuration file to your system & afterwards you can

restore the settings as required.

Factory Defaults: Restore Router to factory default mode.

Restart: Restart the Router for applied settings.

Remote Access: You can manage the Router remotely.

Firmware Upgrade: To upgrade Router’s new firmware.

Reset: To restore CPE to factory defaults either through Reset button on router by pressing reset

button for 5-10 seconds or click “Reset” button on web page.

8. Diagnostic Tools

You could check all the system logs on “Log Settings”
