The children in Year 2 have been learning all about the features of a castle.

They have been very excited about making their castles this week. All children

have been collecting lots of materials for our DT afternoon, in which they

worked in groups to create their castles. They enjoyed cutting out the battle-

ments and learning new fixing techniques. Children also made sure to include

several defensive features such as towers, drawbridges and moats. They used

blue tissue paper to make a moat and they thoroughly enjoyed this DT experi-

ence.

School Clubs Here at Werneth Primary School we want to encourage extra curricular activities, as we

believe it boosts our children’s self esteem, confidence and social skills. Below is a list

Every time you spend over £30 in any Aldi store you’ll re-

ceive a Team GB sticker. Please bring your stickers to

school and hand it in to your class teacher or at the

office. We need 300 stickers to complete the poster for

the school to receive an exclusive sports kit and to be in

with a chance to win £20,000 for your school.
