China has 7 legal festivals in a year, on which all Chinesepeople will be on vacation. They are New Year's Day, SpringFestival, Qingming Festival, May Day, Dragon Boat Festival,Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.

Some people have a half day off on the following four daysor anniversaries including Women's Day, Youth Day,Children's Day and Army Day of the Chinese People'sLiberation Army. Women have half day off on Women's Day.Young people over 14 years of age have a half day off onYouth Day. Children under 14 years old have a day off onChildren's Day. Active members of the army have a half-dayoff on Army Day.

People celebrate many other festivals but they do not havetime off: Arbor Day, International Nurses' Day, Anniversaryof the Founding of the Chinese Communist Party, Teachers'Day and Journalists' Day.

I'm in the mid of planning for a trip down to Beijing on September to October 2015, and would liketo know is there any school break / holidays fall on this two months? I wanted to avoid publicholiday / school break on my planning trip. Thank you.

There is no school break or holiday in September. However, the Mid-Autumn Day falls onSeptember 8 just after Saturday and Sunday. Some people might take this three-day holidaysto have a short trip.
