Convention Registration & Check-In

At Registration and Check-in, attendees pick up their programs and name badges. All Convention attendees MUST wear name badges at all times while attending the Convention. Please note: namebadge reprints will be available for a $5 fee.

Registration and Check-in is located in the Hilton San Francisco Union Square (333 O’Farrell Street), Ballroom (BR) Level. Registration hours are:

Tuesday, April 3: 11:00am – 5:00pmWednesday, April 4 – Friday, April 6: 7:30am – 6:00pm

Saturday, April 7: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Convention Schedule

Panel SchedulePanels begin Wednesday, April 4, at 8:15am and end on Saturday, April 7, at 5:45pm. All panels will take place at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square (333 O’Farrell Street) and the Parc 55 (55 Cyril Magnin Street) - see maps located in the back of the program. Panel times are as follows:

Business Meetings & ReceptionsBusiness meetings and receptions are scheduled Wednesday, April 4, through Saturday, April 7, and will take place at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square and the Parc 55. A detailed listing is located in pages 31-44.

Exhibit Hall

The Exhibit Hall showcases over 70 publishers, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and universities who come to the ISA Annual Convention. All Convention attendees MUST wear name badges to enter the Exhibit Hall. The Exhibit Hall is located in the Grand Ballroom (GB) Level of the Hilton Union Square, and hours are as follows:

Wednesday, April 4: 1:00pm – 6:00pm Thursday, April 5 – Friday, April 6: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Saturday, April 7: 9:00am – 12:00noon

Cyber Café Email Station & WiFi LoungeThe Cyber Café and the WiFi Lounge offers attendees the opportunity to briefly check their email and access the internet. These can be found in the back of the Exhibit Hall, located on the Grand Ballroom (GB) Level of the Hilton Union Square (available only during Exhibit hours).

Panel & Presentation Technology

In panel rooms and parlor suites, ISA will provide the following:• LCD projector• Windows laptop computer• Adobe PDF reader and Microsoft Office software including PowerPoint

DO NOT DISCONNECT THE LAPTOP COMPUTER. Presenters are expected to bring presentations on a flashdrive that can be inserted into a Windows-based laptop computer.

Presenters needing technical support in a meeting room or parlor suite: Dial the hotel operator from the meeting room house phone in either hotel and ask for audio visual assistance. Technicians from the hotel’s AV company will respond within minutes. Technicians are also in the meeting rooms and hallways between sessions. Note: ISA does not provide audio, internet, or overhead projectors in the meeting rooms except in pre-designated virtual engagement rooms.

Internet Options

Internet is NOT available in the meeting room spaces without prior arrangements between the hotel and individual panelists. To purchase guestroom internet, follow the instructions posted in your room.

For access outside of panel rooms, check out our Cyber Café and the WiFi Lounge in the Exhibit Hall. Each hotel has a few free internet stations available for guest-use in the respective lobbies. Additionally, workstations for rent are available at the business centers at either of the hotels.

Travel Grant Disbursement

Travel Grant awards will be distributed via check. Recipients need to check-in with the travel grant desk to verify receipts, and valid form of I.D.in order to receive funds. Please check-in at the ISA On-Site Registration area in the Hilton San Francisco Union Square during the times listed below. Failure to check-in during the times listed below will result in forfeiture of travel funds.

Kiddie Corp - Childcare Information

ISA offers daily childcare services provided by Kiddie Corp for ISA members with pre-registered children only. Walk-ins accepted on a space-available basis. Please check availability at the Kiddie Corp Desk.
