Pre-K and Kindergarten Roundup for New Students Only will be held on Wednesday, April 24th, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the primary cafeteria. Please park and enter through the back doors.
You MUST LIVE IN MCGREGOR to attend Pre-K. Transfers will be taken for kindergarten and fi rst grade on a fi rst-come, fi rst serve basis. Principals will meet with all potential transfers prior to the beginning of school year.
Please bring the following so that you may register: • certifi ed copy of child’s birth certifi cate (no hospital copies accepted)• driver’s license or photo ID of parent• electric or water bill in your name for McGregor, TX• current shot record of child• social security card of child• Pre-K Only: Four weeks worth of pay stubs for every working member living in the home
Transfer applications may be completed on site and sub-mitted at the event but approval will not be made until before school resumes as we must check class sizes and enrollment.

• Two elementary stu-dents qualifi ed for the County Spelling Bee and Aaron Ram-ierez fi nished in 8th place.
• The McGregor Edu-cation Foundation awarded 12 grants totaling close to $25,000 to McGregor teach-ers.
• The Gear-Up program at the Junior High has been a huge success. The program tracks 6th grade students as they learn about College Readiness and Career Choic-es.
• MISD teacher Lisa Hall has been written up in the re-cent edition of Barrel Racing News.
• Several bills affecting school fi nance have been fi led in the Senate and House of Representatives, and the hope is that schools across the state will see increases in funding.

Early votingbegins Monday
McGregor and Crawford City and School voters have the opportunity to cast their ballots beginning Monday, April 22nd. Early voting ends Monday, April 30th. Election day is Saturday, May 4th.
Early voting takes place in the respective school ad-ministration offi ces and city offi ces.
McGregor citizens will also be voting for a local op-tion election to legalize the sale of mixed beverages in restaurants by food and bev-erage certifi cate holders only. Early voting on this issue will be held at McGregor City Hall.
Twelve candidates are seeking election for four spots on the McGregor ISD Board of Trustees, and there is a contested race in the City of McGregor election for Ward 5 (at-large) position.
Crawford will be elect-ing a mayor, councilmen and school trustees.
Hours of early voting are offi ce hours of the city and school offi ces. Extended hours will be from 7 am to 7 pm on Monday, April 29th and Tuesday, May 30th.
