NOTES ON the RESTART OF MASSES:

25% capacity permitted (approx. 120)

First Weekend Attendance: June 20 and 21

5:00 Saturday: 45

7:30 Sunday: 55

10:15 Sunday: 57

Mass will continue to be live-streamed at 10:15 for those who choose to stay at home. We encourage you to print the Worship Aid from the parish website and bring it with you. There is no obligation to attend Sunday Mass until further notice. Those who are at higher risk from COVID-19 are strongly encouraged to stay at home. This includes our Seniors and those who have underlying health conditions. Those who are not feeling well, those with fever or cough of any sort should not come to church for Mass or for a visit. During Mass for your safety and those around you:

Masks must be worn at all times. Safe distancing must be maintained: at least six feet: outside of church, the

parking lot and inside the church. There is no congregating inside or outside church.

All are to enter through the main doors of the church. During the pandemic, the side doors are for emergency exits.

Seating: families may sit together all others stay six feet apart. Those who arrive early are to move to the center. No one is permitted to “climb over” those already seated. Pews have been closed in order to help with safe distancing.

There is no Sign of Peace, or receiving from the chalice.

Use of the bathroom should be limited for safety reasons. It cannot be disinfected during Mass.

Hymnals have been removed from church. Hymns will be ones more familiar to the congregation. Communion cannot be distributed during Mass. Bishop Barres has directed the priest to conclude Mass, and only then conduct a brief Communion Service. You will be given instructions at that time.

WEEKLY PARISH CALENDAR

We are preparing the materials for on-line

registration for the Fall 2020 Faith Formation

sessions. We hope to begin registration after

NY State gives the guidelines for schools.

Thank you for your patience.

Page 5

Thank you for being patient with the Parish Schedule!

We continue to work hard to keep everyone safe. The parish will follow New York

State directives and those of Bishop Barres. As you know the situation changes

rapidly. Please check the parish website and the weekly bulletin for updates about

parish activities. At this time, Masses are at 25% capacity, with masks and safe

distancing. Outreach and the Parish Office are open. Other parish activities are

suspended through July and August. We are not ready to schedule for September

(and beyond) until we receive directives from civic and church authorities.

Unsure whether to come to Sunday Mass or not?

Please remember that there is no obligation for

Catholics to attend Sunday Mass until further notice.

If you are in any way compromised or feel uncomfortable please stay at home.

You may wish to watch the live-streaming Mass on Sundays at 10:15 and use the

on-line worship aid.

Pope Francis has written a beautiful

“Act of Spiritual Communion”

My Jesus,

I believe that you are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love you above all things,

and I desire to receive you into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace you as if you were already there

and unite myself wholly to you.

Never permit me to be separated from you.

Amen.

Thank you to the many parishioners that have supported the Outreach

Ministry with food and monetary donations. We have been able to help

everyone coming to us in need of food during these trying times. When we

all work together there is nothing we can’t do. It is truly a blessing to work

with all of you!

The Outreach staff is starting to come back on a limited basis and we are hoping to serve our

clients from inside the hall starting in August. Our evening hours should be starting up in

September bringing us back up to full capacity.
