Eucharistic Adoration Ministry of Sault Ste. Marie Adoration Chapel

Located at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church The Roman Catholic community of the City of Sault Ste. Marie is privileged to have an Ad-

oration Chapel where Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is present at all times. This Chapel is located in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 114 MacDonald Avenue.

We are running into difficulties where a lot of the Adorers are getting to an age where they are unable to attend the Chapel due to sickness or lack of transportation.

The Chapel is open from 6:00 a.m. until Midnight.

Anyone can drop in for a visit during that time; however, we do need adorers committed to a weekly visit for an hour.

We urgently require an Adorer for the hours of:

Sunday 11am to 12 pm Please call one of the following co-ordinators of the Chapel if you would like to come to the Chapel to experience the peace and tranquility of spending one hour weekly with Jesus:

Susanne Quinn-Perron 450-7732; Angela Rasaiah 949-2208; and Raffaela Medaglia 206-3968.

Are you a young person, grade 6 and up

(junior high, high school, young adult),

with a musical talent?

(singing or playing an instrument) Consider joining the Youth Music Ministry

that plays on 1 Sunday a month Contact: Franceline for more details 705-946-1377

Welcome to the Cross on The Hill anytime

Bring your camera; visit the Grotto; say a prayer for a loved one and pick a rose to take home.

FRIENDSHIP MEAL 2016

October 16, 2016 is referred to as "Laity Sunday". It is a day to remember the people of God

who are called to serve the needs of others. Our Friendship meal Sunday that month (October16) is in need of helpers.

We have a main cook and leader, Raffaela. We need 6 other pair of hands to help set up, serve and clean up.

Are you able to commit to serve that day? please call the office and let us know that you are willing

and ready to assist with this event. "When did we see you hungry Lord?"

"When you did it to the least of my brothers and sisters!"

FRIENDSHIP MEAL ….. Now looking at 2017:

We are now into our 9th year of hosting Friendship Meals on the third Sunday of every month.

We currently need hosts in 2017 for April, May, September, October, November & December (no meals in July or August)…..

**Just a thought: if your group/family/friends is too small to do it

alone….let us know and perhaps we can combine 2(3) groups together to lighten the load.

Funds are available to assist with the cost,

please remember the parish has funds designated to help. Please consider hosting a meal next year,

contact the Parish Office 705-942-8546 we need to have 2017 covered by September 30th 2016.

We extend our PRAYERS & BEST WISHES to Bishop Marcel Damphousse as he celebrates his 25th Ordination Anniversary to the Priesthood

on Tuesday, June 28th.

Baptism We welcome into our faith community….

……..Addison Burdeniuk, daughter of Clinton & Jill who was baptized in our parish on

Saturday, June 25, 2016 by Fr. Paul Conway.

to all who helped with

the Parish BBQ!

Sun we had, but heat

we did not!

Lots of coffee, pop and water was drunk;

good food BBQ'ed by good cooks;

much fun for kids of all ages;

great music!

lots of hands to set up and to clean up!

Since it did not rain, I can come to next year's BBQ!

another Parish success.
