Japan, and North and South Korea.– 2. Relate the abundance and availability of
natural resources to industrial development
Natural Resource Chart• Create a chart showing the chief natural resources of China, North
and South Korea, and Japan and how they use these resources. Then rank the countries by the amount of resources they have and by the amount they must import. Decide how these countries could help each other develop industrially and feed their populations. Summarize your ideas in a two-minute editorial commentary. (30 Minutes)
• A=Charts are complete, while commentaries contain original ideas and insights abut how this region might trade internally develop industrially, and maximize food resources for its population.
• B=charts show a more complete use of information in the txt and resources map. Commentaries include suggestions for sharing food resources among the countries.
• C=charts show major resources mentioned in the text. Commentaries should suggest that China and North Korea export resources needed in manufacturing to South Korea and Japan.

• Keep all of your work from Thursday and staple it to Friday’s work.
• Turn all of your work in to the substitute.• There is NO group work• There is NO pairs work• Work quietly• Clean up your floors before you leave class.
Mr. McLean, Mrs. Ms. Stringfellow, and I are not your maids. Put newspapers in cube up front, trash in the trash can and take all of your belongings with you.

• I expect you to treat Ms. Stringfellow with the utmost respect. Any disrespect will result in an office referral.
• If you are asked to do something by Ms. Stringfellow, please do so without question.
• If you have questions, please respectfully accept Ms. Stringfellow’s answer as if it were me talking to you.
Substitute
• Feel free to change any seats as you feel necessary
• Please leave me a detailed report of the class’s behavior. If you need to write a referral, please write it out and leave it on my desk in a folder so that it cannot walk off of my desk.
• Students may not talk while working.• Students may not change seats.

• Friday is usually a clean up and correct day, so if the students finish their assigned work, they may correct or complete work from earlier in the week.

• Each day, you com into contact with many cultures that may be different from your own. Make a list of the foods, words, clothing, entertainers, sports, and types of music from other countries that you may enjoy. (10 minutes).

• Create a web showing how Chinese culture influenced the Koreans and the Japanese. Discuss why Chinese civilization is considered one of the world's most important. Evaluate the achievements of the Japanese and Korean cultures. (20 minutes)
