OFIC Diversity Forum November, 15, 2012

Thanks to AT&T and all who were able to join us for the

most-attended OFIC Diversity Forum to date. The forum

is the only statewide meeting where corporate and

collegiate representatives can discuss issues

of diversity common to both the campus and the

corporate workplace.

OFIC Trustee, Tommie Lewis, President & CEO

of Make it Plain Consulting (top left), facilitated the

forum, which included a keynote provided by the Vice

President for Student Affairs, Chief Diversity Officer and

Professor of Educational Studies at the University of

Cincinnati, Dr. Mitchel Livingston (bottom left) entitled

"The Plight of African American Students in High

School: Lessons for Success". (To view/download a

copy of Dr. Livingston's presentation click here .)

The day concluded with a panel discussion about

women in the workplace. The panel included Kelly

Blackmon , Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Executive Business Partner at Huntington

Bank, Jennifer Jones , Vice President of Diverse

Markets at AT&T, Dr. Kathy Krendel , President of

Otterbein University and Susan E. Lee , Associate Dean

of Students for Multicultural Affairs at The College of

Wooster.

Details regarding the next OFIC Diversity Forum will be

coming soon.

119 organizations - businesses, corporations, non-profit

groups, and government agencies - and over 1,100

OFIC students were provided the opportunity to discuss

permanent employment and internship opportunities.
