Mission
• To establish conformity assessment structure which meets the international standards requirements
• To provide an accreditation service to facilitate the recognition of customer’s products and services
• To join to APLAC MRA
Objectives
• To upgrade the standard of operation of laboratories and certification bodies
• To strengthen accreditation system to be met the needs of customers
• To develop accreditation system and techniques such as accreditation of inspection bodies and medical laboratories
• To cooperate with China and Russian accreditation bodies to reduce technical barriers to trade and build up the system facilitating cross-border trade.

• The laboratory equipped by European Union and Sought Korea Government projects aid, which implemented from 1995 to 1999
• organizes proficiency testing activity from 1999
• prepares control samples ànd reference materials for competence
• coordinates inter-laboratory comparisons of APLAC or APMP etc.,
• provides training for CAB’s staff

• Mr.Nils Birkland from Norway did peer assessment in activities of Accreditation Department against to ISO\IEC 17011
• Mr.John Gilimour from Australia gave advices for Accreditation Department in conjunction with management issues
• Done pre-assessment for mass and electric standard laboratories of MASM by Sought Korea experts
