TYPE OF FOUNDATIONS :

1. SHALLOW FOUNDATION

I) STRIP FOUNDATION

- Long continuous strips, usually of concrete, created in the ground at a suitable depth to provide adequate support for the loads brought upon them. The loading of this type of foundation is of a linear pattern. Designed to support linear loads of low intensity

FOUNDATIONS :

The function of any foundation is to safely sustain and transmit to the ground on which it rests the combined dead, imposed and wind loads in such a manner as not to cause any settlement or other movement which would impair the stability or cause damage to any part of the building.
