12th ANNUAL GATHERING Theme: “Strengthening LECUSA – Redefining/Reshaping our Relationships
and Partnerships” Isaiah 40:10 “Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will
strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”
Liberian Episcopalians, supporting partners and organizations with links to the Episcopal Church of Liberia (ECL) are invited to the 12th Annual Gathering of the Liberian Episcopal Community in the USA (aka LECUSA) at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 1832 James Ave. N, Minneapolis, MN and Church of the Epiphany, 4900 Nathan Lane, Plymouth, MN (April 21-23, 2017).
The events will begin with Holy Eucharist on Friday Evening at 7:00 PM, followed by a Business Meetings on Saturday morning at 7:00 am. Bishop Brian Prior (Celebrant & Preacher) at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Saturday’s Benefit Dinner and Recognition Ball starts at 7:30 pm and will include a Keynote address by The Rev’d. Ranjit K. Matthews, Staff Officer, African Partnerships, Global Partnerships - The Episcopal Church (TEC). The Rev’d Dr. Canon Herman B. Browne, President of Cuttington University and former Dean of Trinity Cathedral, Liberia, will preach at the closing Eucharist on Sunday, April 23rd at 10:00 am. The LECUSA clergy will serve as Celebrant and concelebrants. Conference Fee is $50.00 per person ($40.00 early registration by March 31) which includes $25.00 for the Benefit Dinner; Benefit Dinner (non-members): $25.00 single and $40.00 couple LECUSA Membership Dues: $50.00 Laity, $100 - Active clergy and $50 - Retired clergy LECUSA’s Mission: connect with and encourage collaboration among Liberian Episcopalians in the US; render pastoral care to each other in times of joy and sadness; pool our individual and collective resources for the benefit of the Episcopal Diocese of Liberia; represent the Diocese of Liberia in the US; partner and network with appropriate agencies in achieving these objectives.
