About the customerCIDETEQ and general specs of the site
CIDETEQ, Centro de Investigación y Desarrollo Tecnológico en Electroquímica, translated to English: (Center of Research and Technologic Development in Electrochemistry) is one of 27 Public Research Centers in Mexico, funded by CONACyT on 1991.
A thorough roof evaluation is an important step in determining the most appropriate PV system size to installin the defined space as well as determining the best module layout configuration, and most suitablemounting hardware for the installation. Most commercial spaces and buildings are now designed as suchthat Solar PV system integration is quite simple with few, if any modifications needed.Symtech Solar offers a variety of different commercial roof mounting system options including directconnection to the roof surface, ballasted (zero roof penetration), and elevated surface designed to cover overHVAC and other roof mounted equipment. Large standing seam metal rooftops, oriented solar south (withinthe northern hemisphere), provide the most simplified and cost effective installation base, allowing for a veryquick and easy installation of the mounting hardware. This streamlined design includes a penetration freeapproach, creating more immediate system stability as well as improved lifespan of the roof material.Completed rooftop Solar PV installations can serve as a protection to your existing roof and will thus extendthe lifetime substantially if the necessary repairs and maintenance has been performed.
Although solar modules generally have a 25-year warranty, most quality components have a service lifetimeof up to 40 years. This long-life performance, paired with practically no maintenance requirements, makesSolar PV technology an ideal energy-generating alternative for commercial businesses and buildings.

The mixed-use PV system project, located at the facilities of CIDETEQ, consisted of
multiple areas in which the PV modules and mounting system structures were
arranged in order to install them. This project included flat rooftops, walkways and
carport areas with a total available space of 359m2.
