Grand Knight’s Message Brothers and Friends of St. Anne’s,

I hope all had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. Now as we prepare for the Christmas celebration, please enjoy responsibly. We would like to see you all again.  

I would like to welcome our new members who completed their First and Second Degrees at the council and those members who completed their Third Degree at Holy Trinity the following day.  Congratulations, gentlemen. Well done. Thank you to the Degree teams that made this possible.

Thanks to all that attended The Night at the Races chaired by Dennis Ruiz PGK and to the members who battled the freezing temperatures and gusting winds to volunteer their time for the “Shake the Can” Fundraiser. See Here and There for details. Later that evening under cover of darkness our younger members hosted the Annual Black Friday Toy Drive gathering over three hundred gifts for Children's Charities such as St. Mary's Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, The Bridge to Life and our own Children’s Christmas Party, To all who helped with these events: We could not help others without your assistance.

Upcoming events: “Light Up For Christ” Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4th at 7:30pm. Please try to attend. The Installation of Officers will be held on December 8th from 3:00pm-8:00pm. Bring your family and friends. Food will be served. The Council Meeting is on December 13th at 8:30pm. The Children’s Christmas Party takes place on December 15th (see flyer on page five). If you don't fill out the form, Santa will not have a gift for your guest. Finally, we have our Members’ Christmas Party on December 21st. Doors open at 7:00pm. Be Safe!

the council that the 13th Annual Fundraiser has begun. Need specific numbers? Let us know ASAP. Keep in mind the holidays are just around the corner! In the past, many participants used the calendars as a stocking stuffer or a small gift to family and friends. Super Bowl Breakfast with the Veterans

It is never too early to begin a charitable venture. We are beginning to collect clothes for our annual visit to the St. Alban’s Community Living Center to distribute among our veterans. Men’s pants (all sizes), new underwear, undershirts (S, M & L); socks, hats/caps, gloves; any and all winter wear. Bring items to a meeting or contact Jerry Rivera PGK.

Thank you so much for your support, prayer, action and many forms of contact that have been such a blessing to people, parishioners, seminarians, family and each team member. May we all seize this Christmas season and make it our primary purpose to talk to someone about the wonderful joy, peace and love that Jesus Christ brought to all mankind 2000 years ago when he came from heaven to earth! This unchanging message still brings hope, excitement and blessed assurance of eternal salvation to millions of people around the world, as He died, rose again, ascended to the right hand of His Father in Heaven, and is coming back soon as King of kings and Lord of lords!.

Please brothers pray for family and for the whole church over Christmas time. May we all remember that JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON! May the Infant Child Jesus and his most Blessed Mother grant you the joy and peace of this holy season and keep you and your loved ones safe.

INSURANCE ARTICLE LTC Is an Important Piece of the Puzzle

FINANCIAL SECRETARY: NOTICE TO MEMBERS Your dues of $40.00 to the Council for the year 2018 are due

between Januar y 1st and March 31st, 2018.  At this point, approximately 35 members owe us one, two or three years of past due dues.  In order to maintain your status as a paid up member, please keep your dues current. I will be sending a First Notice shortly, which will give you the amount you owe to stay in Good Standing.

Please save us the time and money by paying dues in a timely fashion. Checks should be made payable to St. Anne’s Council and mailed to Bro. Fred Forgione, Financial Secretary, at 87-52 251st Street, Bellerose, NY, 11426. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH.

Honorary Life Members pay no dues. They are members 70 years of age and have 25 years of uninterrupted service. Honorary members are members 65 years of age and have 25 years of consecutive service. They pay dues of $15.00 per year. Thank you.
