SEND THE PINKERTONS A POSTCARD David & Bec have mentioned that they get ‘China Days’ when they miss home a lot. There will be a stack of postcards available on the information table over the coming weeks. Why not pick one up and send them a note of encouragement, a picture, a verse or all three and the team will deliver it for you in August. Then, on the bad days, David & Bec can pick one and be reminded that CFC are thinking and praying for them and spurring them on.

CFC ANTRIM GOES TO CHINA Ruth & Alister Wallace, Ruth Neill, Rachel Sheppard & Michael Patterson are going as a team to China from Sunday 14 – Thursday 25 August. They will be staying with the Pinkertons in Chengdu and will be travelling into the mountains towards Tibet. The Pinkertons have a relationship with some Christians in remote areas and they hope to have the opportunity to encourage and pray for them. As a church family we would like to get behind and support the team and if you would like to join in here’s how: PRAYER Please start praying for the team as they prepare for China. Pray for their health, the families that they leave behind, for wisdom as they make plans for the trip. There will be a prayer calendar available and we will be asking people to pick a day to pray for the team in the days before they leave, as they journey out & back, while they are in China and in the days following their return. FINANCE The team are financing the cost of their travel and their accommodation themselves but it would be lovely to provide the means for them to bless the Pinkertons or the people they meet on their travels. So two fund raising events have been arranged: Prayer Walk & Coffee Morning – Saturday 9 July Meet at the Enterprise Centre at 10:00 am for a prayer walk to David & Eileen Esler’s studio at Donegore. Or just head to the studio any time between 10.00 am – 12.30pm for coffee and treats. There will be a basket for donations on the day Chinese Banquet – Sunday 7 August Join with the church family after the service on Sunday 7 August. Cost and venue to be confirmed.
