Society Memberships

Number of individuals with at least one Society membership increased by almost 2%, with no loss in overall memberships– Members gravitating to one ‘home’ Society as publications

are becoming increasingly available from their employers

– To increase the number of members holding multiple Society memberships is positive: to do so without a concurrent loss in overall membership is even more so

Standards Publications

In 2012, IEEE-SA published its highest amount of pages - ever, just under 20,000.– A primary driver of these numbers (volume and speed) is

the increasing amount of 802 documents published (22 total) and the expedited work associated with them and Smart Grid (SG) documents.

Average time to publication continued to decrease to 8 weeks.
