Sarah Webb 12-10-10 Teacher Cadet Today was my twentieth and last day as a teacher cadet. I have fully enjoyed this experience and would do it all again if I was every given the chance. I have learned so much more than I could have ever asked for and I feel like I have a better knowing now of what it is like to be a teacher. Today started off pretty normal. All of my students found out on Wednesday that today was going to be my last day so they all knew it was coming. They also all seemed a little sadder today than normal. I hope it wasn’t because of me leaving. When I first got there I helped Miss Robbins staple morning work together for next week. Normally when I do this I try to look at what problems are on the sheets so I know what I am going to have to be going over the next week, but this time I realized that I wasn’t going to be here with my class anymore by the time they got these papers. This made me a little upset but it also helped to remind me of how much fun I have had doing this the past four weeks. Whenever the students got into class I did the normal routine of checking the homework folders to make sure that they did their homework and also to check for any notes from parents. I also went over their morning work with them this morning. Some of the problems that they are doing in the third grade I noticed that I didn’t even begin to learn until late fourth and early fifth grade. I also don’t remember some of the stuff that they are being taught and have to ask for their help on some of the problems that they are being given. After this I took them to PE since it was Friday and everything went down as normal. Whenever we came back from PE though the entire setting seemed to change. When I got back to the classroom one of the students handed me a card that said thanks so much for all that I did. We then had a mini party with cookies. That is when I got to give out all the little baggies that I made the students and I also got to give Miss Robbins the gift I got her during this time also.

Sarah Webb 12-10-10 Teacher Cadet

Today was my twentieth and last day as a teacher cadet. I have fully enjoyed this

experience and would do it all again if I was every given the chance. I have learned so much

more than I could have ever asked for and I feel like I have a better knowing now of what it is

like to be a teacher. Today started off pretty normal. All of my students found out on

Wednesday that today was going to be my last day so they all knew it was coming. They also all

seemed a little sadder today than normal. I hope it wasn’t because of me leaving. When I first

got there I helped Miss Robbins staple morning work together for next week. Normally when I

do this I try to look at what problems are on the sheets so I know what I am going to have to be

going over the next week, but this time I realized that I wasn’t going to be here with my class

anymore by the time they got these papers. This made me a little upset but it also helped to

remind me of how much fun I have had doing this the past four weeks. Whenever the students

got into class I did the normal routine of checking the homework folders to make sure that they

did their homework and also to check for any notes from parents. I also went over their

morning work with them this morning. Some of the problems that they are doing in the third

grade I noticed that I didn’t even begin to learn until late fourth and early fifth grade. I also

don’t remember some of the stuff that they are being taught and have to ask for their help on

some of the problems that they are being given. After this I took them to PE since it was Friday

and everything went down as normal. Whenever we came back from PE though the entire

setting seemed to change. When I got back to the classroom one of the students handed me a

card that said thanks so much for all that I did. We then had a mini party with cookies. That is

when I got to give out all the little baggies that I made the students and I also got to give Miss

Robbins the gift I got her during this time also.
