INTRODUCTION KEMPOCK STREET CAR PARK THE BEACH PIERHEAD OPEN AIR POOL NORTH Riverside Inverclyde (RI), the local urban regeneration company in Inverclyde have appointed a professional Design Team to prepare proposals for significant public realm improvements to Gourock’s Waterfront between Kempock Street Car Park and Pierhead and the area around the newly refurbished railway station. The Design Team includes Hirst Landscape Architects as Lead Design Consultant, W A Fairhurst and Partners to provide Civil Engineering services and Gleeds to provide Cost Control and Budget Advice. The images on this board show the proposed site area, together with various pictures of existing conditions on site. Project Brief •Provision of improved public realm along the waterfront between Kempock Street Car Park and the railway station. •Improved pedestrian access between the station and Kempock Street. •Improved relationship between the rear of the properties on Kempock Street and the adjacent car park •Consideration for future provision of a small visiting harbour •Consideration for potential future development along Shore Street.
