Analysis of R99 Initial Bit rate.

The below graph indicates the Average no. of Radio bearers hourly in the UL direction for Background and Interactive class before and after the changes.

UlBeTraffInitBitrate :-Settled to D32 at 9/19/2012 07:00.

UlBeTraffInitBitrate :-Settled to D16 at 9/21/2012 08:00.

After the changes we can clearly see that the 64 RB has reduced on both Bkg , Interactive and take the Intaial Call Setup at 32Kbps or 16Kbps

Failure Rate has been significantly improved when Initial Bit Rate changes to D32. But not so much improvement observed when further initial Bit rate changes to D16. Failure due to UL CE congestion still observed.

Access Failure rate of most impacted cells in RNC02:-. Overall Access average has been improved during DBH Hour. Few cell still having failure due to CE Congeston.

Conclusion:- As per changes made to check Impact on CE Congestion, it is clearly seen that Significantly improvement observed with the value of Intial Bit Rate of D32.No such further improvement seen after reducing the value of UlBeTraffInitBitrate. A number of failure can be reduced by changing this parameter.
