Introduction

This document details the E-mail notifications and associated details from the TEE site.

This includes the various scenarios / events / activities which will result in E-mail to the users

This will also include the content of those E-mail notifications when sent on a particular action

event.

3) Content updates

This refers to new forum discussions; comments on forum discussions, blog posts,

classifieds , job postings , any opportunities ,content uploads , photos, videos, groups,

events and pages; and notifications for members who are following new blog posts,

discussions, events, photos or videos.

Scenario 1 – follow an individual content

If you find an interesting bit of content that you’d like to keep track of, you can use the

“Follow” link to receive an email whenever there is any activity on the content item. The

“Follow” link can usually be found below the Comment Wall on the detail page for that

content item. The email notification will contain a link to the new activity. By default,

you’ll automatically follow any content you post, upload or comment on. This is a great

way to stay updated and to make sure you see all comments!

Scenario 2 - follow ALL featured content e.g. Events / Discussions etc on TEE site

To keep updated on events, blog posts, pages or forum discussions, you will find the

“Follow” link on the individual entries. Additionally, for forum discussions, you can find

the “Follow” link on the All Discussions page in addition to the Discussion Category

pages.

Scenario 3 – follow a content of a particular User / User Group

To follow content from a particular member, click on the features link beneath the

member’s profile photo on their My Page to be taken to a page displaying all of the

content that member has uploaded within that feature.

Admin Controls for E-mail Notifications

1) Bulk E-Mails

The TEE Admin should have the ability to send bulk e-mails to a group of select

members / all the members on the TEE site.

We as discussed could think about a batch kinda approach to minimize load on the

site as suggested by Pritamji.

if i really wanted to attack you or FORE , why would i ask for the cut offs?..i know you

were associated in some way with the institute and thats why i asked you..Ofcourse

you'd know better than me!!its just the way you wrote the entire thing had upset me,

sorry again, may be i had written too much ....but you very well know the no of bschools

one has to collect info and pagalguy is supposed to be the place to find quick info. And

please, if i was so much bottered about money, why would i try

FORE,RGIPTetc??...wouldn't i prefer SIBM/SCMHRD/IIFT instead?.. I have enough

respect for the institute and thats the reason i wanted to apply. PLeasedont keep any

2) Admin E-mail settings – how mail is to be sent and when ?

On the User Control Panel we need to have a section / button to unsubscribe to all the news

letter , updated , content following , messages from TEE site.

Either user receives messages from TEE sites or does not.

Unsubscribing will mean he does not receive anything.
