11/3 ACTIVITY #28* Matter, Mass, Weight, and Volume. *Four panel foldable

MATTER MASS WEIGHT VOLUMEWhat is matter?Everything in the universe is matter.Things that have matter, also have mass, weight, and volume.

PROPERTIES OF MATTERTextureColor ShapeSmellSizeHardnessChemical reactivity

What is mass?Mass is the amount of matter in an object.

Mass is not dependent on location. This means that mass is the same regardless of its location.

What is weight?Weight is a measure of the amount of gravity acting on an object.

Weight depends on the amount of gravity. This means that it changes depending on its location.

What is volume?Volume is the amount of space an object takes up.

Objects with different amounts of matter can have the same volume. The density of the object would increase
