    What to do!y Before

    y Young volunteers (under 12) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    y Gloves is encouraged to be worn by all volunteers whilst collecting litter.

    y Bring sturdy footwear, suntan lotion.

    y Bring your refreshments in re-useable containers

    y During

    y Travel in group of at least two for safety and optimising collection.

    y Cautious of sharp objects, such as syringes and broken glass, must be handled withextreme care.

    y Keep a checkon the tide.

    y Leave no trace, just footprints!What you carry, you bring with you!

    What to collect and segregatey Plasticbottles only. Not Styrofoam or plastic

    container

    y Remove liquid and sand

    y Aluminium Cans

    y Steel cans is not aluminium cans

    y Food cans are mostly steel cans

    y Everything else is general waste even glass bottles!

    y Dont collect natural driftwood and algae

    y Leave full bags on the side. BBs vehicle will pick itup after the event.

    What not to do!y Dont touch any containers or drums that may contain hazardous

    substances, or any unfamiliar objects If in doubt, notify us!

    y Avoid disturbing wild animals. Dont approach, tease, threaten,run towards, abuse, pet or feed wild animals. Any injured,stranded or dead animals should be reported to the organiser.

    y Dont pickup natural debris such as seaweed and driftwood. TheyUST be left on the beach, as this forms important habitats for

    wildlife.

    y Dont be alone!

    Avoid slippery rocks, mud flats and other potential hazards, suchas lifting items which are too heavy for you.
