How to Crimp Hair

1. Start with clean hair.

2. Apply a heat protectant and blow­dry.

3. Divide hair into workable sections.

6. Repeat down the entire length of the hair shaft.

7. For a softened look, lightly pull fingers through your hair. A finishing spray will allow thewaves to set.

Crimping Techniques for Various Hair Types

The technique used for crimping hair will vary according to your natural hair type. Use this basicguideline to help;

Straight Hair: Work on the top layer of your hair when crimping before brushing through it, soyou can crimp it again (this time working with three­inch sections at a time).

Curly Hair: Use flat iron to straighten your hair first. This will make your crimped style moreevident.

Wavy Hair: Use a round brush and blow­dryer to prep your hair first. This is a must if you wantto create more definition when crimping wavy hair.

Relaxed Hair: When crimping relaxed hair, make sure you hold it for no more than a fewseconds. This ensures you won’t add more damage to the hair.
