1st Day - Depart for Tallinn, Estonia.2nd Day - TALLINN. Upon arrival, trans-fer to your hotel (optional). Check-in at the hotel. Time to unpack and relax. This eve-ning enjoy a welcome dinner and orienta-tion. (D) 3rd Day - TALLINN. Our morning city tour of Tallinn, begins with a drive along the park of Kadriorg, the Song Festival grounds and the ruins of the 15th century Brigit's con-vent in Pirita. We continue on a walking tour, visiting the Old Town of Tallinn - an example of Gothic architecture in the Bal-tic and Nordic countries. The tour includes Toompea Castle fortifications, the Gothic Town Hall (14th century) and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral of Alexander Nevskij (19th century). (B, D) 4th Day - TALLINN - RIGA. This morn-ing we depart for Riga, the capital of Latvia, situated at the mouth of the Dougave River. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to catch a first glimpse of the city. (B, D) 5th Day - RIGA. Start the day with a city tour of Riga, visiting medieval Hanseatic town, Riga castle, St. Jacob's Cathedral and the Liberty Monument. Afternoon at leisure or you can take an optional excursion to an Open Air Ethnographic Museum. (B) 6th Day - RIGA-VILNIUS. This morning our motor coach heads for Vilnius, capital of Lithuania for more than 600 years. Enjoy the scenic countryside along the way. Arrival in Vilnius, check-in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest, explore Vilnus on your own or take an optional tour of the KGB Museum. (B, D) 7th Day - VILNIUS. Today we will spend discovering this amazing city. Our tour in-cludes: St. Peter and Paul's Church, Cathe-dral Square, St. Ann and Bernardine Church, the Gates of Dawn with a holy image of the Virgin Mary, Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit, Town Hall Square and Vilni-us University (founded in 1579.In the after-noon an optional excursion to Trakai Castle located 16 miles from Vilnius. This14th century Castle for ages served as a defensive structure and residence of Lithuanian Grand Dukes. (B)

CLASSIC BALTICS AND POLAND

8th Day - VILNIUS-WARSAW. After break-fast we depart Lithuania and cross the bor-der into Poland. We continue our journey to Warsaw, admiring the scenery along the way. Balance of the day at leisure. (B,L,D) 9th Day - WARSAW. This morning, we in-troduce you to the highlights of Warsaw. Drive along the beautifully renovated Royal Route with its historical monuments, pass by the Palace of Science and Culture, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Getto and the Bar-bican. We continue with a walking tour of the Old Town, beautifully rebuilt after World War II with impressive Royal Castle, seat of Polish kings, the Old Market Square with fashionable shops and cozy cafes and St. John's Cathedral. This evening, an optional Chopin piano recital. (B) 10th Day - WARSAW-Czestochowa-KRA-KOW. This morning we journey south to the medieval city of Krakow. En route, stop in Czestochowa, pilgrimage center of Poland , to visit the Jasna Gora Monastery and the Black Madonna Shrine with its miraculous icon. In the afternoon, visit to Auschwitz martyrdom Museum which was established in 1947 on the location of the largest for-mer Nazi concentration camp. Overnight in Krakow. (B, D) 11th Day - KRAKOW. Today we discover the medieval treasures of Krakow Our tour features Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle, home to three dynasties of Poland’s mon-archs. Its stately chambers are filled with priceless medieval treasures. You will also visit the Wawel Cathedral, where Polish kings were crowned and buried. We spend time in the Old Town with its medieval Mar-ket Square, one of the largest in Europe, full of souvenir shops, sidewalk cafes, museums and restaurants. At St. Mary’s Basilica see the largest wooden altar and at the arcaded Cloth Hall, dating back to the 14th century, you can shop for souvenirs. Afternoon at leisure. (B) 12th Day - KRAKOW.
