The Learning Center (TLC) Programs

Peer TutoringTLC provides face-to-face tutoring in over 200 WKU courses. Studying at a distance and need a tutor? No problem! TLC offers online tutoring as well. In addition to specifi c WKU courses, TLC also provides tutoring in many academic skill areas including time management, note taking strategies, and test taking strategies. A current list of courses for tutoring can be found at www.wku.edu/tlc.

Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS)PASS is an academic assistance program that targets traditionally diffi cult, high enrollment courses. This program utilizes undergraduate students as PASS Leaders to facilitate group study sessions. PASS Leaders have successfully completed the course they lead with a grade of A or B, attend all class lectures, take notes, and hold two-weekly group study sessions. Please visit the PASS website at www.wku.edu/tlc/pass.php for a list of PASS courses and group study session information.

Academic Advantage Series: Workshops for SuccessEach semester, The Learning Center creates, schedules, and facilitates The Academic Advantage Series: Workshops for Success. These workshops are a series of presentations designed to help students succeed academically. Presentations focus on skills students are expected to know but might not have learned over the course of their academic career. Each session provides hands-on, expert instruction from professionals at WKU who are dedicated to student success. Please visit www.wku.edu/tlc/workshops.php for workshop topics, dates, times, and locations.
